"Padding wrong"
We paid extra for thick padding and I believe they gave us the thinnest padding available. I might as well be walking in hard floors.

"Carpet in new home"
There is not enough space on the interweb to explain my anger. These guys are total idiots. Three messed up measurements. The fourth one was cut wrong for 1/2 of my new house, had to relocate my furniture again. 3 months later the carpet seams are pulling apart. Nothing being done. I threatened to remove my carpet and bring it to customer service desk. They said that wasn't allowed. There may be a future Youtube video in the making here. Nightmare do not use the men in orange. Or that run down van that rolls into the driveway that also is used as the home to the lowest bidder carpet installer.

"Nightmare installers"
6/2020 thru 3/2021. To make this short. Spent $6000.00. The first installers could not read the specs and cut all our carpet wrong for the entire main floor and bedrooms of house. I called and Home Depot, Supposedly the best of the best installer was sent to our house a second time took pictures with his iPad and said everything was cut wrong and the specs weren't followed. He came back And replaced the entire master bedroom but did not replace the hall which has jig jagged cuts in it even though he said he was replacing that. They had to rip up all the carpet on steps going to basement a/c they did not install the padding correctly. We have chunks of glue on all the seams. The carpet Is fringing where it butts up against the wood floors and where the door is. They sent third person out to look at carpet again. He gave some BS story that was different then the second installers that came to fix. My carpet is not pulled correctly and loose. I asked for money back and Home Depot is refusing to honor anything. They are saying because I will not let a third set of installers come back to fix the carpet that's my problem. The carpet should've been installed correctly the first time not multiple times after. I was also told by the installer to not vacuum where the carpet butts up against the wood floors. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. My 15 year old carpet never came apart where it meets the wood floor. I was also told if it starts fringing to cut the strands. WTH! My hope is eventually with all the complaints there will be a class action lawsuit against Home Depot and their installers.

"Avoid"
Three months after they took 90% payment still no carpet. First installers canceled because they had no carpet. Second time installers no showed and called the next day to say someone was sick with covid. Offered to come the next week?! We told them - no. Come and install it a month later if there was potentially a covid case. Third time - installers have a window of 2-6. We schedule around this. We get a call around 345 that the window will be 4-6. Ok. We get another call around 5 that they will come at 6... They show up at 6pm. Installers are tired. They ask if they can come back the next day because they are tired and it will take them 3-4 hours...As if we didn't have to clear our schedule for them 3 times already. No. HD is not cheaper than another local company. They sure as heck don't have better service and don't respect your time.

"Quality of installation"
So many visible seams, looks like an inexperienced dyi job. Carpet always looks unkempt. Scratched up floor trim and doors so bad had to refinish a lot of areas. Would never use them again.

"Waste of Money! Do Not Buy!"
I spent $1500 on carpet for one bedroom. Not only did they overcharge me for larger measurements the installation company kept the extra carpet! My room measures at 700sf the charged for 900sf they stated it was needed. B.S! I've had carpet install by a local company and we both measured 700. Lifeproof Carpet is horrible! My home is decorated all white so I know how to keep anything white. The reason I purchased this carpet was due to the "lifeproof" slogan and claim to last. This carpet had been I installed for 3 months and it's completely filthy. We wear socks and no shoes allowed. The carpet I had prior was in my bedroom for 10 years before it got this filthy. Plus the installer left stains on the carpet and I tried everything to get it out and couldn't. It looked like his dirty footprint. Now I have to rip this out and start over. The other thing is the samples I received in the mail from Home Depot were fluffy and beautiful! The installed carpet was matted flat and never fluffed up causing it to look used! Seriously run from this brand of carpet! Never Again!

"Too many subcontractors that don't communicate"
The Home Depot Measurement Service failed to process our floor plan until we called several times to follow up. Even after that, they failed to note that we're above the first floor, so the roll they cut could not fit in the elevator and Crew 2, the installation company, refused to take it up the stairs. Now they're saying they're going to need to cut the roll and leave several seams, and we're totally in the dark on when they're going to attempt installation a second time. Home Depot's customer service is blaming their subcontractors rather than taking responsibility, and they laughed at the suggestion of a credit or discount to us. If you use them (don't), make sure the person who does your measure notes the roll size that can feasibly be transported to the installation site.

"Warranty is BS"
25 yr warranty, LifeProof-? My carpeting suddenly began to Look Worn, for no reason at all. Installed in one room in my home, a room that wasn't even being used. It took 8 months to get an answer. 20 trips into the store, they lost my original claim, they denied sending an inspector, until I perused Consumer Affairs, then they sent "an independent inspector" who had just told me he was on a flight back from Georgia, to Los Angeles, during the Covid 19 pandemic! He inspected my carpet, and told Mohawk he found no manufacturing defects or "wear." This is completely in acceptable! Home Depot, Burbank, CA did not handle this with customer care or customer satisfaction at all. It took 8 months of trying, to finally get a store manager on the phone! The carpet is worn, and the threads are running. The principal is, in the first year expensive carpet should not look like this. All I did was vacuum it. I will NOT ever buy Mohawk brands, or Home Depot flooring of any kind.

"Complete Junk"
Had my carpet for four months and is falling apart/flat has a big rip in it, took pictures from the beginning and had to wait for about a month or more for somebody to come look at the carpet because my carpet is literally falling apart. They said that my carpet has a factory defect when they came out to finally look at it after they left they said different and are not trying to blame it on my dog. Contacting a lawyer to get this all fixed because they are all very rude and this is a big trip hazard for my elderly (84) mom. Please look else where this carpet is junk spent almost 5,000 dollars for lifeproof carpet for it to be falling apart.
