"Carpet Pooling"
I contacted my dealer about odd coloring on my carpet.. A technician came out and told me it was carpet pooling.. I had two other experts come out and I was told that wool carpet sometimes does carpet pooling.. I have a stair that is discolored and huge pools of discoloration in my carpet.. I spent $18,000 on my bedroom, hallway, and stairs and no one cares.. I called Stanton and they said I had to deal with Reimer.. I have taken care of a senior Father who just passed away and now I again look at my carpet and get sick.. The salesman said they had it in the showroom and he assured me it will never show wear.. No wear showing, just discoloration and pools of shadows.. I would never purchase Stanton wool carpeting again!! Ellen S Barris

"Extremely Disappointed"
We decided it was time to replace the 20 yr old carpet in our den which has held up beautifully but has discolored thru out the years. We picked Stanton Muse carpet which looked and felt very luxurious and was very expensive. $3,000 for a 12.5x 19.5 foot room. We noticed after a year it was matting in certain areas. The place we bought it from closed about 2 weeks after it was installed and I asked who would I contact if I has an issue (didn't expect to but still asked). I was told to contact Stanton directly, So I emailed them but never heard anything back. A year later I asked a carpet dealer at a trade show about it and he said he was surprised there was no response. I emailed again and this time I did get a response back from Ray Davis. He found my original order, asked me to send pictures of the carpet, which I did , I emphasized that for the price of this carpet I expected it to last longer than 2 yrs. it is not in a high traffic area and it's only myself and my husband in the house. He replied back and said that a place nearby me would replace the carpet. I was totally surprised. We went over the weekend and picked out a different choice (Melody) which we are hoping will be more durable. I don't think it's as nice looking at our original choice but we are afraid the same thing will happen if we stay with the Muse carpet. I'm grateful Stanton agreed to replace it - Reading the reviews on here, most had no luck with their issues.

"Terrible quality"
We purchased our area rug through Ethan Allen in 2018, and it started buckling and fraying within a year. Unfortunately, I waited until it became worse and worse to the point where I couldn't stand to look at it anymore. Ethan Allen said they only had a one year warranty but would contact Stanton. Reading the other reviews on this site, it's apparent to me that Stanton will not do anything to resolve our situation by either refunding our original purchase price or replacing the carpet, even though the same design is still offered. After a simple professional cleaning, after which all our other carpets and area rugs looked great, this rug buckled and folded even more prominently than before. Would never buy Stanton again, which is a shame because the rug was beautiful.

"Don't Buy"
Had a rug made from Stanton carpet in fall of 2018. This was an expensive rug that has not held up. I found that my vacuum which has a beater bar would not go over it with an easy at all. Was told by a vacuum cleaner dealership that I could not use this type of vacuum. After using another vacuum cleaner, it still looks lumpy and matted. Only 2 people walk on this rug daily --no pets. I had no problem with the dealer who constructed the rug, just the carpet itself. Will never buy Staton again.

"Rug disintegration"
I purchased a rug from my decorator . It is a Stanton carpet now 4 years old. Has been in a vacation condo with very minimal use. Carpet disintegrating . No help from decorator (Clive Daniel Naples Florida) or manufacturer. 6,000.00 rug literally falling apart. Steer clear of both these companies!

"Greatly Disappointed"
Purchased the Montpelier carpet for stairs and main hallway in the house. Was told by salesperson at Kansas Furniture Mart that this was a highly rated carpet for high traffic areas. Within a few months of installation, the fibers began pulling up from the carpet. Voiced our displeasure with Kansas Furniture Mart, who sent a "third party" inspector to inspect the carpet. Their conclusion was that our vacuum was causing the problem because we had one with a roller brush. However, this doesn't explain why the same issue occurs on the stairs where we only use a hand tool with suction only. We will never buy Stanton again, and do not recommend to anyone.

"Disappointed"
Although I understand that Stanton cannot place an unlimited time warranty on their carpet, I certainly expected our investment to last for more than twenty months. We are two adults that basically use our family room (where the carpet is located) in the evening when we watch TV. The nap in our carpet started coming apart and after contacting our local retailer, we were informed that Stanton's one year limited warranty had expired. I recently emailed Stanton's Customer Service Department and was told they do not discuss defects directly with consumers and claims must be submitted through my Stanton dealer. Since our dealer could not help us, we are left with a defective carpet.

"Update To My 9/26/18 Review"
Since my previous review, Decorator Carpets of Hamburg, NY has gone to bat for us and was able to get Stanton to replace our flawed carpet. This was greatly appreciated. It was installed yesterday, looks good and hopefully will last. Because it seems you need to jump through hoops for Stanton to acknowledge there's a problem, I doubt we would ever purchase their brand again. As Decorator Carpets had our backs, we'd return there for future purchases.

"Not worth it"
Installed Stanton's Serenade in my master for a hefty price about a year ago thinking it was a high quality carpet. It looks gorgeous but, the edges of the carpet are fraying and when I walk on it with heals or my 50lb dog it pulls like an old sweater. I was told this was pet resistant however there are fibers everywhere. Seriously regretting my purchase.

"Please Read Before Purchasing!"
All of these reviews are accurate. Unfortunately, most people like myself make the purchase without doing the homework. We bought our carpet from Decorator Carpets in Hamburg, NY and in LESS THAN 2 MONTHS a very unusual wear pattern emerged. The store owner came out and agreed that it was flawed and took pictures. Never heard back until I went to the store and he said he'd forgotten all about it. Next, I was told he spoke with a company rep who told him there is a disclaimer which basically absolves them of any issues that may occur. While other carpet companies proclaim their stain resistance and ability to withstand all sorts of problems
