"Got Bamboozled by 50 Floor"
The first thing I told my sales rep is that I do not want laminate flooring - oh then do I have a great floor for you then. He told me it was an engineered hardwood and was waterproof and would work well in my kitchen and bathroom. Well, this IS laminate and it may be waterproof in terms of water not seeping into the planks from a spill but believe me if any large amount of water hits this stuff - watch out. It will be destroyed and the company you purchased from along with Mohawk will try and accuse you for causing water damage. Ummmmm isn't a floor suppose to be able to take the wear and tear of "living" in your home. Within an hour of installation the installer accidentally overflowed my toilet - and we immediately mopped it up and he turned the fan on and said give it 24 hours. Guess what happened - the entire floor buckled and became uneven. But wait there's more... the installers were very rough and they broke the water line on the back of my refrigerator-which they didn't know - 4 days later I noticed bubbling and swelling in some of the planks, here we go again. The entire kitchen was flooded and the under flooring was destroyed and they had to pull it up and redo my kitchen. Seriously if this is one week in, how will this last in a normal home? Oh. It won't! My advice, no matter what a sales rep tells you, do your own research. And no matter what DO NOT purchase this sub standard crap!

"Horrible"
Don't buy! After the first case we took all 35 cases back! Now after reading the reviews, i've noticed the same things that some installers commented about were very true!! Wish we would have read the reviews first, we could've saved a lot of gas and time!

"Rubbish poor quality"
We had this installed last year by a reputable tradesman. It soon began to buckle. Had quickstep out and all they did was blame the installer and then say we have a damp problem which we don't. It remains to buckle and in the summer was like walking on hills but still nothing from the manufacturer. It's also slippy and scratches really easily. Our dog keeps slipping over. We have another product in our hallway and this has been in far longer and has never buckled or scratched. Rubbish expensive product. Would not recommend. Stay away from it. Don't waste your money.

"Run, Don't Walk Away From This Junk"
Do yourself a favor; Please avoid QuickStep Studio flooring! I am a residential contractor who has been installing laminate flooring for 20 years and only once have I laid flooring that was worse than this (and that stuff was on clearance at Surplus Warehouse.) My helper, who has 12 years experience with all types of flooring installations, and I just today finished a 300 sq ft job. That job took us 12 1/2 hours to complete - even though the homeowner had cleared the room of all contents, removed the carpet and padding, and had everything swept up. The reason we were called is that they had become so frustrated in doing the install themselves. I had never before installed QuickStep Studio (and after today I shall never attempt to do so again) and when they told me what they had paid and they had purchased it at Lowes I assumed that their difficulties lay in the fact that this was their first time to try to install laminate flooring. Was I ever wrong! The included instructions sound so easy but I'll be damned if that is the case. Two grown, experienced men could not push the pieces together as their instructions indicate - we literally had to beat the out of every single plank to get it to go together and to keep the ends from separating - and therein lies the problem - once you have beaten the out of it you have nothing left - because the product is 100% fecal matter. I lost my butt on this job and I feel for the homeowners because I don't think that this shoddy product will hold up for even a year. Without much effort you can find better flooring at better prices that you can install yourself without pulling hair or causing a divorce. It is that bad.

"Rubbish product"
Having been a client of Quick Step for many years, we bought the above product for our kitchen, expecting them to stand behind their product, within 1 year it started to chip & when we contacted them about their 25 year guarantee they basically told us it was our fault it was chipping & that its was tough luck, very disappointed & will never but their product again, which is a shame as we thought it was a reputable company that would stand behind their goods

"Quickstep- Mohawk carpets do not stand by product- Beware"
Flooring is hazy and looks dirty all the time despite calls to quickstep on how to fix the issue. Certified flooring dealer in business since 1958 came to look at floor and agreed there is a weird film and some thing wrong with the floor. A claim was initiated and they sent an inspector who did not address the issues as I pointed out, but instead went to other areas of my home. He used acetone on my floor and cleaned in area which looked no different than before he started. He smirked on the way out the door and said sorry about your floors.

"Terrible"
I have never been so dissatisfied with laminate flooring as I am now. We put this in our whole house and it does nothing but scratch. We never wear shoes in our home, and the floor is constantly scratching. I am so sorry I did not check out the reviews. I trusted the supplier store that sells this product and am very saddened that they are not making this right. We built a brand new home and now there is nothing I can do about getting them to replace it.

"Worst ever!"
Bought this flooring thru designer in new construction condo. It is bubbling in various places though only 5 yrs old. The color we bought is discontinued. The manufacturer offered no help in locating batches of the same color at any location and will not assume any liability for their faulty product. Apparently new floor planks have different side borders that would not fit in well with this type anyway. Would never buy Quick Step again!

"Yes I did agree with some of the installers"
I like many have installed these laminate floors in all my homes as far back as 1983 when we had to glue them. I have in the later years used the snap & click laminate flooring from Dupont, armstrong and pergo. This was a nightmare on startup until I went to the site and looked at the pattern that they suggested. What I did was assembled 3 rows about 6 inches from the wall and installed some stops at length to sides Once I had that assemble, I took the stops out and slide the whole assembled floor with the help of another person to the required clearence from the wall, once in place I secured screws at the edges so the whole floor would not shift & i could easily remove once I had enough rows. I also piled the flooring product on the already laid down rows. The coming apart problem on the ends, I had solved. I would start on my left, have another person stand on the already down row and tap that board in next I would slide the end in the channel and insert my small pry bar on the long length and lift the lip up while sliding the board just enough to get over the other lip This is very slight pressure and with a little practice you'll master it The end joints stay tight and clean. Before hand I screwed with this floor for 2 hours, and was ready to take the whole order back to lowes. I really had to get the Rocket science book out on this one, Ha I can laugh about it now.

"Very Disappointing"
I have been a professional flooring installer for nearly 40 years. About 7 months ago (June 2019), I installed 1500sf of Quick Step in the home of a friend. The product was purchased from a very reputable local retailer and acclimated in the home for over a month before I fit installation into my schedule. I was assisted by a 20 year veteran installer. The floor went in well and looked great, but only for a few months. I inspected the floor today and it is coming apart in many places, both end and side seams and the edges of the planks are starting to curl up. This is an extreme climate (Fairbanks Alaska) and it is now midwinter, however the home in question is extremely well built, super insulated, and very temperature stable. The floor was properly installed, with adequate space between floor and walls and breaks with reducers where needed. Some of the seams opening up are only inches from and parallel to reducers. I won't install another Quick Step any time soon.
