"Very poor quality"
We've been in a brand-new build for 6 weeks now and installed the engineered hardwood Hickory Provincial - Aspen Grove. There are many boards that have split, and chipped edges. It's obvious the quality of this product is very poor, and I cringe when I think of the battle that will have to be fought with the builder to get these replaced.

"Defective flooring"
We just installed Mullican engineered hardwood flooring a few months ago. I have found several cracks, splits, splinters and frayed edges in the recently installed boards. Obviously, this flooring is low quality with manufacturing and material defects. I will be contacting Mullican today, however, based on other reviews, I have a horrible feeling I have been scammed.

"Garbage"
Wood flooring is splintering and cracking everywhere in a brand new home built by Mungo. There are huge gaps in the flooring. The company stated it was "normal wear and tear". Do not buy this product.

"Mullican poor quality control"
T&G planks. Several defects of finish can be expected. A significant number of boards will have knots with a dark filler that have an unacceptable appearance. Order about 35 percent more material to allow for unusable boards. The milling of the boards was otherwise good. Mullican also makes Blue Ridge Hardwood Flooring for Home Depot which has this finish problem, as well as a very thin wear layer.

"They do not honor their warranty! Buyer Beware!"
I purchased Mullican engineered hardwood flooring and had it installed on the entire third floor of my home five years ago. One random board started flaking after three years. All of the surrounding boards and all of the other flooring was fine. Two years later, another board in a different location started flaking. Since this flooring is supposed to have a 25-year warranty, I contacted the company through Lowes, where I purchased the flooring. Mullican responded that it will not honor the warranty since they feel the damage was caused by excessive water. They came to this conclusion without anyone looking at the flooring. Furthermore, this is a barely-used third floor of the house and there has never been water on the flooring since it was installed. The fact that the finish is flaking on two random boards that aren't anywhere near each other tells me that this is a manufacturing defect. If there was some kind of sitting water problem on this flooring (which there has never been sitting water on my third floor), one would think that there would be multiple boards damaged in one location rather than two random boards in two separate rooms of the house. They just don't want to honor their warranty. Buyer beware. Garbage product and they won't honor the warranty.

"Best choice for engineered wood flooring!"
We have been so very pleased with our gorgeous white oak flooring from Mullican. We've been in our new construction home for 6 months, and the floor is holding up beautifully so far. They're very durable, even with two active boys. They clean so easily, but even if I don't get around to cleaning them as often as I should, they still look brand new. The Autumn Bronze color (from the Mount Castle line) hides dirt very well! We have received numerous compliments on the appearance - everyone who comments loves the graining/texture and the wide plank style. We couldn't be happier!

Review:
"Looks great, less waste"
We just had mullican Muirfield golden maple hardwood installed throughout our kitchen, dining room, foyer and hall, about 450 sq. ft. we decided on maple because we didn`t like the grains in oak wood. after doing research on maple, we decided to purchase from a local supplier, pro-source wholesalers, as opposed to home depot, lowes, or other `budget` stores. many reviews that were negative toward this brand seemed to have come from these stores. though not our first choice, the Muirfield were mostly long pieces with very little waste (cracked or poorly stained).we even had a full box left over. after bargaining with pro-source, we got a very reasonable price. it`s the first hardwood we`ve had installed, so hopefully it`s a lasting product.

Review:
"Read before buying"
We had about 1000sq/ft of the Mullican Knob Creek 3/4" hardwood installed in our home last October. Within a couple weeks we noticed gaps starting to emerge between many of the planks some of the gaps were up to 3/16". The installer came over and had never seen anything like it, you couldn't sweep the floor because all the dust/debris would go into the gaps. Then the Mullican Rep came over and the first thing he said was "You must be chasing the golden goose." I wasn't happy about that since it was a brand new floor and it looked terrible. He then said he never saw the gaps that large and asked about the humidity level in the house. Thankfully we have a whole house humidifier so the humidity was always a constant. A few weeks later he came back to check the flooring again as he forgot some of his equipment the first time. We didn't hear anything again for over two months then installer received a letter stating it was a humidity issue and the claim has been denied. The humidity in our house is set at 35% in the winter and 55% in the summer. We are very unhappy with the product and it has to come out, I would stay very far away from this company.
