"Bad carpet, horrible customer service"
I had a horrible experience with carpet manufactured by Beaulieu
America. I purchased carpet manufactured by this company for the second
floor of my house. Within three months, the carpet was matted and worn
in the traffic areas looking as if it were over ten years old. My local
carpet dealer, Totten in Lancaster, OH, looked at this carpet and agreed
that the product failed and was unacceptable; he filed a claim with
Beaulieu America. Their company inspector took two months to look at the
carpet and ranked it a "3" on their own five scale. If it were a 2.5 on
this scale, they would honor their warranty. My claim was denied by
Beaulieu America. Fortunately, Tottens Carpets honored the warranty out
of their own pocket and paid for replacement and re-installation. So,
our family went through re-carpeting our house twice in a year. I asked
our carpet dealer for the name of someone in management beyond the
claims department that I could speak with to articulate the poor product
quality issues we experienced. Beaulieu America responded that it was
not legal for an "end user" to speak to anyone beyond the claims
department and, in fact, it was their company policy to prohibit
managers from speaking with customers who may have complaints. I think
this is disgraceful to the extent that we spent thousands of dollars to
buy their product that needed to be replace after a few months of use,
then to be told (falsely) that some law prohibited me from speaking with
their management and, in fact, such is the company policy. Their
characterization of me as an "end user", not their customer, is yet
another insult and seems to be consistent with the manner they view the
people who purchase their products. This experience has been horrible.
Thank God that our local carpet dealer had the courage to back up their
warranty out of his own pocket or else I would have had to re-carpet my
house twice in a year at my own expense. My advice: Don't purchase
products manufactured by Beaulieu America. Find another carpet
manufacturer who will stand behind their products and treat you as a
valued customer.

"Worst carpet I've ever owned"
My $7000 carpet showed excessive discoloration and wear less than one
year after being installed. Beaulieu would not send a rep. They
requested a picture instead. Their rep (TeKiesha Fretz) denied warranty
based on the picture (even after the local sales person notified them of
the problem). TeKiesha said "All vertically oriented textiles will
eventually mat and crush with use". So basically what they are saying is
their carpet looks good as long as you don't walk on it. I've never had
a carpet look this bad after light use within this time frame. Do not
buy any product from this company.

"Attention Do Not Buy"
Back in January of 2013 we had Beaulieu, "Perspective" in the copper
kettle color installed through our whole upstairs! It was beautiful
carpet, however within three months we had major traffic patterns in our
halls, bedrooms, etc. This was sold to us as a 15 year carpet! Ya right,
it looks horrible! We have no pets and do not even wear shoes in our
home. We had to get very ignorant just to get them to send an inspector
out, the inspector told my wife sheesh didn't they tell you not to walk
on your carpet after it was installed. The carpet is crap not only is it
completely matted down, it has a definite lighter coloration even after
we vacuum and rake it! The best part of it all, Beaulieu will not do a
damn thing about it! Nothing. At this point we are debating on getting
an attorney and suing them to get it resolved.

"DO NOT PURCHASE"
I purchased Beaulieu carpet with Bliss odor residence one year ago. I
have had carpet in my home for years and have never had any problems
with snagging or matting down. I do have two cats and have never had a
problem with them. However,I believe whatever is in the carpet has
caused them to want to knead the carpet. The carpet looks older than the
last two carpets that I had for over 20 years each. The only reason I
paid more for the carpet was because of the salesperson telling me it
kept everything fresher. Do not fall for that sales pitch. I regret
changing my carpet which was changed due to buying new furniture. After
reading the warranty I realize that nothing will be done. However, just
knowing that I have helped someone else from spending the money on such
a horrible product makes me feel better. Beware!!!!!

"Garbage"
6 months after installing this brand of carpet in our house it was flat
and matted. This is the worst carpet I have ever seen. The 1970's
carpet on my basement stairs is in better shape and Beulieu refuses to
warranty it.

"Terrible carpet worthless waranty"
We purchased Beaulieu carpet in April 2011. It now looks 20 years old.
The company will not replace or refund. We have fading and matting
anywhere we walk. It's in the master bedroom and master closets. Even
the closets are faded. Do not buy!

"Tufts of my new carpet come out."
I recently replaced the original carpet in my house with Beaulieu Park
Avenue carpet. I chose this carpet because I needed something that was
stain resistant. My original carpet was the contractor grade carpet that
came with the house and during the entire 10 years that I have been in
this house I have had from 3-4 cats. I have never before had trouble
with tufts of carpet coming loose from the carpet until now. At this
rate I will have bare spots in my carpet within a year. I have contacted
the company that I bought the carpet from and a sample is being tested
by the manufacturer but the comments from the store are not encouraging.
Essentially, what do I expect with cats. Well, the carpet that was half
the price as the new stood up just fine with cats and was replaced
because of stains not bare spots.

"Puresque was poor choice for us"
We bought and had installed approximately 1,000 sq ft of Puresque carpet 6 months ago. We bought this brand based on the marketing that it eliminates odors - important to us with 4 dogs. It has been the worst investment in our home ever. While odors are no longer a problems, stains are almost untreatable. The carpet seems to just hang on to standard everyday stains that no other carpet ever has. We have had it professional cleaned 2 times by our trusted carpet cleaner we have been using for 15 years. This product just does not clean well. In addition, it has seriously snagged in multiple places and runs and unravels like a sweater. We have several "bald" spots now even though we have knotted off the unraveling spots as we find them. We plan on replacing this costly disappointment as soon as possible. We would never recommend this product.

"Tough Stuff but soft enough to sleep on"
I had the Puresque carpet installed 8 months ago with the plush premium padding underneath. This light tan carpet is so soft that I enjoy lying on it with just a pillow under my head as I nap or watch T.V. We have put this carpet through a torture test. Here is a list of things it has stood up against.
1. A puppy who loves to run laps and play tug.
2. An old dog with potty problems
3. Spilled Red Wine, coffee, bleach, nail polish remover, Hydrogen peroxide, latex paint, and motor oil off the bottom of my boots.
4. Mud, dirt, grass clippings,
5. High traffic by the baby gate
6. Me chasing the dog around the house for fun or playing fetch in the hall.
7. Steam cleaned, scrubbed, than UV tested old dog's potty spot about 20 times.
8. Eating dinner in the living room
After all that this carpet still looks and feels new. Except the latex paint all stains come out with a pitcher of hot soapy water blotted with a towel or my Bissell just set to hot water rinse. The Latex paint accident dried and I had to scratch it off with my fingernails and a scrubbing sponge. The paint came out and no visible damage to the carpet. Think I will have it professionally cleaned soon even though the carpet does not need it. I have 3 free cleanings from the Home Depot warranty and I may as well use them.
I would recommend this product to any one who can afford it. It is expensive but you defiantly get what you pay for.
