Mullican Flooring is an international manufacturer of prefinished, engineered, and exotic hardwood that is focused on consistency and environmental issues. With more than 1,500 products available and 50 distributors, the company has developed a solid foundation for 5,000 retailers that carry the brand. One of the main objectives of Mullican is to sustain local and foreign forestlands.
Solid, engineered, and even unfinished hardwoods are all represented in the product lines of Mullican. As the solid floors are produced in a standard thickness, the engineered wood is made in three different sizes. The G-5 locking system delivers speed and simplicity to the installation process, featuring a tongue-and-groove concept.
Beginning in 1985, Mullican was originally known for its prefinished hardwood from the Appalachian forests, and has developed a concentrated procedure. Following the separation of wood types, each is then sent to a facility. Currently, there are four manufacturing locations for Mullican's hardwood production: Virginia, West Virginia, New York, and Johnson City, Tennessee, which is also the company headquarters.
Mullican works with overseas facilities to manufacture the engineered wood but still uses United States timber. Plus, all of the solid hardwood is produced in America, another factor in the moisture content and milling quality. Green Haven, a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified line of prefinished flooring is carried by Mullican as well. In addition, the Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers seal can be found on every 3/4 inch solid plank as a form of verification.
The Mullican website will be useful to customers in helping them choose the right floor and be well informed at the same time.
