Vacuuming my wall to wall clogs my vacuum canister unbelievable how the fibers just pull up like nothing. I am afraid of my wall to wall after a few years will have nothing left to walk on. When I called the store owner, installer and complained about the fibers clogging my vacuum each time I vacuum and my concerns, first thing the owner asked me, "does the rug feel thinner? My wall to wall when I first called installer was 7 months old. Then I was asked if I had a dog, I said, NOOO. He put in a claim, I waited weeks, finally I called again after many attempts and got through to the installer and he said Shaw Carpets was sending out an inspector. She was here and if this was considered a scientific display, was a joke. She ran my vacuum over a 12 inch section of carpet three times and each time I emptied the canister in separate areas and she took pictures, then wrote something down in her report. Now I wait. Beautiful rug but in a few years if the fibers keep coming out then what? I worked into my seventies to afford new carpeting and so disappointed. Installer/owner can't tell me what the fibers are either, he said he never saw anything like it. I sent him pictures of what comes up and he was shocked. You mean I'm the first one to have this problem, don't think so? He has been in business over 50 years, with his parents running the business then giving it to him. I have evidence Shaw Carpets have had this problem since 2011.

"NEVER AGAIN"
Had “top of line” carpet with extra thick and upgraded padding installed in September of 2022 and purchased through Home Depot. To say that the carpet is “top of the line” is the worst lie I have ever been told. The carpet has not held up which was installed in my master bedroom and guest room where I only have guests come on weekend occasionally so not lots of use. The carpeting looks horrible did not hold up. The pattern is almost non existent in certain areas of the rug. They absorb dirt like no other carpeting I have seen and the pulling and fraying in areas is ridiculous. I asked Home Depot to stand by them. They said Shaw denied my claim. I didn’t clean them according to manufacturers warranty which is 12-18 months and on high traffic areas like every 12 months. Clearly my carpet is not even 18 months old. It is barely 12 months old and in a bedroom which is not high traffic area since my husband and I both work. No pets. To say the least it was a waste of my hard earned money They have lost my business. They have lost my trust and I won’t hesitate to tell people if they ask what I think of them. This is my opinion of them and from what I have read on this website there are many others with similar issues as mine. I say shame on Home Depot and shame on Shaw.

"Don't buy Shaw"
We have had our Shaw carpet installed 3 times. Every time it is installed there are holes in it where the machine missed a loop. Holes between dime and nickel sizes. Multiple holes throughout carpet. Shaw refused to replace it the second time. Our installer is battling them. Now our 3rd install of supposedly a brand new roll has same holes! We paid alot of money for their "top of the line" highest quality most expensive carpet. Its being removed for the 4th time and we are buying a different brand.

"In tears over customer servicr"
Thought all was well. Sales person was very helpful. Timeline for installation quick. Installer took all day to install and area is very small. I had to leave but my husband stayed. The rug looked great when I saw it. Bit of fuzz in certain areas but thought my dyson would work great. After they left I was relieved. Then my vacuum like sales man said to use without and bristles was used. Up popped 8 frayed areas and one large loop that was pushed down sort of twirled. I immediately told the sales person. Inspector said looked like several issues, not snug, frayed areas and most likely faulty carpet. My husband said he saw a couple cuts from layers that weren’t at piecing but thought was nothing. After one day the sales person said "nothing was wrong enjoy your carpet". I appealed and sent pictures of damage. He then passed on to his manager since was very evident. It has been same response from sales person. Mgr still looking into it. I am still waiting after 3 months. No additional frays but looks awful.

"Horrible product"
Spent $40.00/sq. yd which sounded to me like a lot of money. However, we were replacing our 20 year old carpet. Now I wish I would have kept the old stuff. Customer Service is horrible--especially Sue Dixon who clearly was not interested in helping us at all. The carpet was installed in 4 rooms and it's me, my husband and a dog. They tried to tell me the dog ruined the carpet with her nails in this one particular spot. Also, where my husband's feet were planted to get up and down from his chair was wearing thin after 6 months. After riding Shaw to get this matter fixed, they offered to replace one room of carpeting however, that did not include installation. Screw you Shaw--I learned my lesson. I'll try a different company and next time I'll look at the reviews first which I didn't think you would have to do with carpet but trust me--You Do. I would Never purchase anything with the Shaw name attached to it.

"Get your stuff together"
This carpet is a nightmare to install, it is the most inconsistent carpet you can lay the same piece a different day and it feels completely different it does not stretch well it takes way to many razor blades to cut and trim it's very stiff and they have tons of manufacturing flaws, no quality control at the plant, Shaw has made carpet fine for years upon years and now these new lines are trash get your head out of your rears and get your crap together.

"Starts looking "stiped" and becomes buckled"
Due to the way this carpet is weaved 3 inches at a time the carpet starts to look striped like a zebra or tiger. The pattern is not consistent and uniform. Store manager asked an employee who had also bought this Platinum Texture Accents and the employee confirmed thar her carpet also shows tiger stripes. In addition the carpet has started to buckle in several locations. In defense of Shaw they have agreed to replace this poor design.

"Waste of money"
We thought the carpet looked nice from the sample square and purchased enough for 3 rooms six months ago. 2 rooms are never used and the third is our master bedroom. After 2 months the carpet in our bedroom was packing down due to normal foot traffic. It is just myself and my husband, no pets. I'm afraid to vacuum every day because it may harm the carpet fiber. We are so disappointed with this product.

"Disappointed Customer"
Family room carpet replaced due to removing a wall. Old carpet was also 18 years old but looked great. Shaw carpet was down less than 3 months and noticed "pulls". Thinning carpet and wear very noticeable. Now it is 5 years old and needs to be replaced due to, what I believe, is a defect with the carpet. They sent out a rep to inspect who reported that it is due to my vacuum. No other rooms in house have issues but the Shaw. Will never use their product again!
