"Carpet bubbling"
4 years go we noticed our carpet bubbling and crushing and the nap was
flat even after vacuuming. We spent a small fortune in upgrading pad
and this carpet is in our bedroom and sitting room. The installer came
back and pulled the carpet tight again. But we are back to square one
again. Shaw is a rip off. Never again.

"Hard to believe"
The string of 20+ 1-star reviews is amusing and really, impossible to
believe. I am about to buy Shaw carpet and they are clearly a quality
carpet maker.

"Worst carpet"
Worst carpet ever purchased. Called carpet store after six months. It
looked worse than the 10 year carpet I replaced. Would love to sue.

"Shaw carpet is the worst"
Shaw carpet is the worst I have ever seen. Carpet was 1 year old, was
running the vacuum over the carpeting when all of a sudden several
carpet threads unraveled and got caught in the vacuum.About 6 months
later the same thing happened. The carpet was supposed to be stain
resistant and snag proof,BULL Could not find receipt and called
installer to see if they had it,of course they couldn't. So I guess this
senior citizen on a fixed income is screwed.

"Carpet deteriorating under a year old. Shaw will not help."
Carpet under a year old and is matting and fading. Very unhappy. Willing
to pay for upgrade. Cannot get any one to help us. We are senior
citizens and have been ripped off. Hey Dyson....Do you know how Shaw bad
mouths your product.

"Carpet Falling Apart"
Have had the carpet in for just under 3 years. We called Lowes because
we had an area that was "bubbling". They came out to re-stretch the
carpet (for a fee). When he did, the carpet literally started pulling
apart. Now we have loose, wrinkled carpet throughout the house.
Shaw says the warranty is void because we did not have the carpet professionally cleaned within 2 years. Like THIS would have kept the carpet together!

"Some Strange Postings Here....,"
I purchased Shaw carpeting a few months ago and love it. It's their
higher end carpet with the thick padding. I've noticed the latest
negative postings which give Shaw a 1 rating out of 5 seem to be worded
similar (At least most of them). For the ratings to suddenly go down as
they did is unusual. I'm wondering if someone, a competitor or someone
who has a grudge posted many of those low ratings. I have 3 friends who
have Shaw carpeting and all are satisfied. I realize there will be
complaints but not like these all in a row. Strange indeed.

"K-Hov Builder"
We bought our home in 2010 ($500,000.00 Home), and within 3 months
noticed the builders grade carpet was starting to show wear, crushing in
pathways, and each time I vacuumed the vacuum cleaner had to be emptied
as it would become full of fibers. I read in the reviews that the
builders keep Shaw in business with this cheap trailer carpet.
Understand, there are only two of us who live here and are gone all day
at work. We do have two dogs, but they weigh 7 lbs and 20 lbs, and are
in a kennel during the day as well. I brought this to the attention of
the home builder right away and they blew me off. Said it was normal
wear and tear. I consequently continued to complain over the course of
the year, and received no service, ad was even ignored. Finally the Shaw
company sent out a service rep in February 2012. His results came back
that we were using too strong of a vacuum cleaner, maybe a Dyson or
Sharp, and we should be cleaning our carpet more regularly...WHAT?? So
we were once again denied service and our carpet continues to
deteriorate. Yesterday I decided to try one more time because I have to
think of replacement because frankly I am embarrassed to have people in.
I called the Shaw company to find out to my dismay that they had
approved replacement, but K-Hov denied it because they did not want to
pay for the labor to replace it. I am livid!!!! Now we shall see what
happens...will Shaw replace it with a decent carpet or the same crap,
and will K-Kov step up with the labor costs as well as a a new pad???

"builders keep them in business"
Builders looking for cheap carpet are keeping Shaw in business.
This is why no one cares about these reviews... Builders are still
making a profit.

"Depressed"
My husband and I purchased a Shaw carpet (Platinum) 3 years ago. We are
so disappointed. I started noticing the compaction about a year after we
had it installed although it may have started earlier and I wasn't
paying attention. It doesn't clean well and the warranty isn't worth the
paper it was written on. I think they are a poor carpet manufacturer
that really doesn't give a crap about their product. I will never buy a
Shaw product again and will definitely be telling other people - stay
away or you too will be burned. Our saving grace is that the manager of
the store we purchased it from is trying to resolve this problem one way
or the other. Wish I had read reviews before making the purchase. Never,
ever had a problem with carpeting before this fiasco.
