"Quiet in the Halls with Shaw"
I would like to tell you about my area rug that I have for hallway. It is a Shaw Echo Sand rug that I bought at Walmart. I bought it because I needed something to put down the hallway of my house. I have a dog and two kids and they love running down the hall. This makes for lots noise because the hallway just echos everything. I have owned it for about 4 months and I have had no issues with it. Cleaning it is pretty easy because it is made out of Olefin. Because it is made out of Olefin, it makes it very durable. I don't notice too much of a issue with pet hairs getting stuck to it. I really like that feature because my last carpet there was a hair magnet. The weave has not come loose or ripped in anyway. I know it's only been 4 months but I would tell anyone I know to get this carpet for their hallway. Shaw has always made pretty good carpeting in my eyes. So get it when you can everyone.

"Shaw carpet is top notch"
I've had my Shaw carpet for about two years now, and I absolutely love it! We chose a "frieze" (or twist) style, which combines twisted fibers in different lengths. It has a rumpled texture that doesn't show footprints and hides dirt like magic! Mine is a solid color that has held up very well--no fading even in direct sunlight. I had to have it steam cleaned (rented a cleaner at the grocery store) after my nephew's birthday party last year--lots of spills and things ground into the carpet by their feet. It basically looked like new after the cleaning unlike my previous carpet that would shed fibers when just vacuumed! My previous no-name carpet also had "runs" where a long thread would come loose from the backing. This doesn't happen with the Shaw carpet, because it has a special backing that keeps each fiber firmly in place. We paid more for the Shaw brand, but overall it was well worth it, and I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone.

"Carpets are a thing of the past"
I have owned a Shaw carpet for almost 2 years and I am generally dissatisfied with it. It does have advantages over a floor but they do not outweigh the disadvantages. I prefer it over my wood floor during the winter months as it is much warmer and softer. It is very attractive in appearance and also feels very comfortable when walking on it barefoot. The downside of owning it is that it completely pollutes my entire living room with dust and it holds an odor. I have never had it professionally cleans but have cleaned it myself with chemicals and a vacuum cleaner. Although I have cleaned it on multiple occasions I have not successfully been able to rid it of its dust holding ability. I would not recommend this to any friend because it would just create more dust in the air just from being walked on. I would not buy the same brand again nor will I ever buy carpet for my living room again.

"Berber Carpet Squares"
We purchased our 12x12 berber carpet tiles from Home Depot about 2 years ago. These particular carpet tiles have a sticky backing for easy install, however we had a difficult time because the glue was so thin and they were not sticking down very well. The color was very rich and did not fade even though we have the carpet tiles in a sunny location. I have not had these tiles professionally cleaned, but I have use spot cleaner with no problems or discoloration. We used a box cutter type knife to trim and shape the tiles to fit the perimeter of the room. We were glad to learn these carpet tiles are antimicrobial and hypoallergenic, good news for parent with crawling infants! I was afraid the tiles would snag easily since it is not wall-to-wall carpeting, but I have had no snags or piling problems. I would buy these carpet tiles again, they were just what we needed!

"Love my floor!"
We had Shaw carpet installed in our master bedroom when we added on to our house. We got a dark tan color, so three years into our new living space, we still have no stains! It is absolutely the softest carpet I have ever walked on. I vacuum on a daily basis as I have small kids, and this carpet still looks brand new. I use our steam cleaner on it every 5-6 months, and it holds up very well. It hasn't matted down like lower quality carpets do. Even in the most commonly walked areas (like from the hall to the bathroom), it hasn't worn down or become fuzzy at all. It has held up to stains very well. We've had sick kids on it, and so far, we haven't found any stains that wouldn't come up. I always figured plush carpet would hold dirt and debris worse than a Berber type carpet, but this doesn't at all. Once I vacuum it, I know it's clean and I don't have to worry at all about the little ones rolling around playing on it. Very resilient carpet, and if we ever get rid of the tile in the rest of our house, I wouldn't consider anything but Shaw for the rest of our home. Easy to maintain, looks great, holds up to traffic, what more can you ask for in a carpet?

"Great Look & Sturdy"
We have had this carpet for over 10 years and it has worn beautifully! The fibers are still sturdy with no matting and the carpet feels as good as the first day we had it installed. The only downside we have experienced is after we had a new furnace system installed we couldn't quite make the carpet patches work when the old vents were- the carpet just doesn't seem to blend well, but as long as you don't try to patch the carpet yourself I don't see an issue! We did have the carpet cleaned a few times and it worked like a charm. I plan to buy new carpet in a year or two to replace the color of our current carpet, and definitely plan to purchase this brand again!

"Shaw Carpets are very durable"
I am writing a review on the Shaw carpets that I purchased several years ago for my house. I have had these carpets for four years now and they have held up very well. There are many things that I enjoy about Shaw carpets. For one, they come in a variety of colors so I can pick my favorite ones. I also like the fact that they are easy to clean with a decent wet vacuum. I have yet to make any lasting stains on the carpet, even though I have spilled several different things on the carpet. There are not a lot of things i do not like about Shaw carpets. I would like it more if my carpet was a little bit softer, but it is still softer than most other carpets that I have felt before. I have had the carpet professionally cleaned once before and it went very well. The carpet looked as if it was new afterward. I would buy Shaw carpets in the future if I am ever in need of another carpet. In conclusion, Shaw carpets are of high quality and I highly recommend them to everyone.

"A peaceful dream for a peaceful carpet"
The Shaw carpet I had installed in my workout/yoga area over a year ago is a pretty good carpet. I went with the Outdoor Peaceful Dream design that you can find at many home improvement stores. Even thou this carpet is designed to be outside, the 100% Olefin makes it pretty good for heavy use. The carpet comes with a 10 year quality warranty and a 4 year fading warranty. The feel of it can be a little stiff if you have to sit on it at first. Your best bet is to buy some really thick carpet padding for underneath it and everything will feel fine. I really like the UV protection that comes with it. My room has lots of windows and I was worried if there was too much sun, the carpet might fade in places. So far nothing seems to be off color. I would tell you if you need a good heavy duty carpet for your yoga area, I would go with this carpet series. I just love it and most carpets that Shaw makes.

"Carpet I wouldn't Buy"
I have had my carpet for about 5 years now. We built the house we are currently living in and hand-selected the carpet for its stain-resistant features and price. I have to say the only thing I like about the carpet is where there is absolutely no wear (under the sofa, etc). The stain features are non-existent and the carpet has tremendous wear patterns. We have had the carpet professionally cleaned, self-cleaned and it just has not held its value like I would have expected. I can assure you that I will never ever buy Shaw carpet again. It has left a bad taste in my mouth, a bad smell in the carpet and an eyesore to boot. Take my advice, don't buy Shaw unless you know what you're in for.

"A good Shaw carpet for your office"
I would like to review my Shaw Viking carpet that I bought at the local Home Depot. I wanted to get some new carpet for the office and decided on this carpet. I decided to have it installed by the home service group that Home Depot offers. It was like 27 dollars per room so it was pretty cheap. Over the year or so I have had this carpet, it has been okay. I only say okay because of the wear issues it has. I do have a lot of people in and out of my office. The wear isn't super bad or anything, but you can notice it. I did after about 6 months. I know I should of gone with a heavier carpet but I was on a limited budget. I have had the warranty people come out and if it gets worse, they will replace it for free. If you would ask me if I would buy it again, I would if I didn't have the money for better stuff. If you do, go with the heavier Shaw carpet.
