"Will Never Buy Shaw again"
After 8 months, single person living in home, carpet is all matted. Looks worse than the 20 year old carpet still in the home. Highly disappointed they don't honor their warranty. The sales person was an ... and didn't back up the warranty yet it was his recommendation to put this garbage in the home. Nothing like taking advantage of the elderly and putting the screws to them. Especially those on fixed income.

"Beware! Significant color loss in 4 years"
I purchased carpet for my home - total about $20,000. The product is guaranteed for 20 years, promises to be color fast, etc. After 4 years there is so much color loss in walking patterns and near sliding glass doors that when the inspector came for my claim on the warranty he had to ask "What color was it supposed to be?" My claim was denied calling it fading from sunlight, not a manufacturing problem. I asked how it could be viewed as acceptable that a carpet in a home with windows could not hold its color in 4 years. The agent just read lines from the warranty text. Do not trust the company to stand behind its products. Do not assume the warranty will help you. Do not believe that the product will stand up to normal use and daylight.

"Fantastic"
What many reviewers don't mention is the model that was installed. There are all different grades of Carpet having face weights, which I go by. What was the face weight of the carpet you installed? 20 being the lowest and 63 being the Best grade. Our carpet which was installed having a Face Weight of 58.2 and of their R2X Nylon, has stood up extremely well in 9 years and will keep going. We have it in our living room, dining room, hallway, and in front of dbl sink bathroom. I would suggest looking at the Face Wt of the carpet you are looking to buy. Sorry there as so many negative comments, which you always hear. Research the Grade of carpet, before you buy, not by the mfgs name that manufactures numerous grades, in their line up

"Warranty not supported"
Purchased carpet fall 2016, original carpet 21 years old. ( no shoes on carpet, cleaned regularly, sweep 5 times a week). Ask for quality carpet, gave me a price, I wrote a check. Fast forward September 2018, I noticed 8 10 spots on carpet changing color. Thought what did grand kids spill on carpet, supposed to have come treated, wouldn't clean. Of course no one knew, oh well. Week later more spots, then walked around, stairs, behind love seat spot in dining room little spots changing color. 9 29 2018 called our retailer, of course I purchased great carpet, has 10 year warranty, no issues. 12 8 went to the retailer after numerous phone calls and excuses that rep would not call back. His employee stated you need to look at their carpet today. ( employee told owner what he needed to do, this is now 2 months and 1 week after told no issues. )2 25 2019 I receive call from owner, great news they are replacing your carpet. Now almost 5 months later. 3 5 19 owner calls Shaw is sending inspector. Inspected carpet week later, stated call retailer if you hear nothing after two weeks. Waited 21 days and called owner, left message no call back, called him 2 days later. He stated, you mean Shaw has not called you or sent the report? I said "no" He just couldn't believe they had not contacted me. He said the report said something had been spilled on the carpet. Like what, I responded, Owner, I don't know maybe something was on your shoes, or it's your furniture polish. End of story, owner tells me to take him to court, Shaw will pay the legal bills and hangs up. Last part, parents home, brothers home, in-laws home, all have purchased flooring from this retailer over the years. Yeah some thousands of dollars. We purchased , bedroom, bathroom and kitchen flooring from retailer. Side note I have 3 bedrooms and loft original 24 year old carpet no spots. I have waited another 3 weeks for the report from Shaw carpet, nothing. Evidently I will spend a few more thousands to replace this carpet, will not be a Shaw product.

"Carpet sucks and reps are rude"
I have watched many videos of Shaw's pet carpet and I purchased my carpet before watching the videos but they videos lie. I have had my carpet almost 3 years and it looks worse than the 20 year old carpet that I pulled out. I have had my carpet professionally cleaned about 6 times all ready because if liquid gets on the carpet it soaks in right away it does not sit on top like it did when I first purchased, after about 6 months later the liquid did not sit on top to give you time to clean it up. I have called the sales people that sold me the carpet and I also called Shaw and neither will do anything about it. All this carpet does it keeps it from supposedly soaking into the pad but you don't know if that is true because you don't see the pad unless you pull up your carpet. I was told it would not show wear or stains. This carpet and their representatives are horrible. And I plan on posting on every single page I find for Shaw

"Very Dissappointed"
They do not uphold there warranty so dont believe anything they say. We have had are carpet for 4 years only and steamed cleaned professionally every year and the stains show even more and don't come out. Dissappointed in there keeping true what they say. I have all receipts and warranty to prove and they wont warranty it. Dont believe what they say about stain warranty. Not true. Very dissappointed in company and will not be using them again and I definitely won't be recommending that's for sure.

"Echoing (unhappy) experience with Shaw carpeting"
Like others' experience, our Shaw carpeting, laid in a careful home with two adults who never wear shoes indoors, began to show wear within two years. It also began to stretch and bulge. Shaw's 'process' for remedying a dissatisfied customer's complaint is more of an endurance contest than a program to produce satisfaction. Obviously we will never purchase another Shaw product and will advise all our remodeling clients to avoid Shaw as well.

"How Not to Stand by Your Warranty"
We purchased carpet for our bedroom after very successfully living with berber carpet for a number of years. After less than a year, I called the shop from which I made the purchase, advising I could see wear spots and a wear path from the door to the bathroom. They filed a claim for us with Shaw who sent out an inspector. After only 8 months activity by two elderly adults (no dog, no children) and careful Miele vacuuming, this "inspector" called it "normal wear and tear". This "normal wear and tear" was much worse than my 18 year old carpet on the stairs and upper floor. I could literally close my eyes and find the bald spots. It wore very poorly and, of course, I would not buy Shaw brand carpeting again.
