"Would NOT put this product in a doghouse"
After searching for a quality flooring for our Business office floor this product was recommended by a local flooring store. I was told it would hold up to high traffic so we purchased 2500sq/ft of Bruce LVP WaterTek 12mil 7" planks. We then hired a local installer that has been installing floors for 25 years. Feeling good bout our purchase we had the floor installed. $8500.00 later, It was beautiful. So we thought... Let the night mare begin. Less than 6 months later it was buckling, at the seams the length of the panel. The panels were cupping, end joints were lifting up. Shortly after that started the panels started cracking and then started to crumble like a cracker. It was the most god awful looking floor after 6 months of use I had ever seen.
We called the floor store where we bought it. They came out and inspected it and Immediately started to blame the installer. I called another installer I had known for 25-30 yrs that has been in the business for 50+yrs. He immediately said it was the product that failed. The store where I bought the flooring from called the manufacturer and the sent out a 3rd party rep out to do an inspection. A year later we get a phone call from the floor store where we bought the flooring and was informed they had received a letter that denied our claim. After reading the letter it was full of excuses, passing blame to us for using rolling office chairs and putting furniture directly on top of the "floating" floor. In an office mind you & this was recommended for the very use we used it for. Stated there were no blinds on the windows. The base boards which is a glue on base cove molding was touching the floor keeping it from expanding. Bull, it is not glued to the floor just to the walls. I guess one can pass blame to where ever it is needed to deny a claim for a piece of junk product. Stay away from this product. I have since seen the same product in a residential application doing the same exact thing ours did. Save your time and money and buy a different product. We will be removing this junk from our office and go with a epoxy coated stained concrete, which is what we were going to do in the first place. I would NEVER buy this product again!

"Beautiful, but color not consistent"
Be careful, because the color of the flooring in the boxes delivered is
not consistent. What I saw in the store and purchased was a mesa brown
walnut floor. However, once the installers started laying the floor, the
color was inconsistent, with many pieces being a cherry red color with
parts of the pieces being almost black. I had to go through over 12
boxes of flooring to pick out the pieces I wanted installed. Four of the
boxes were fine; however, I had to pull out at least 3-5 pieces of
flooring from each of the remaining boxes because of the reddish color,
which I asked the installers to use under the bathroom vanity, the
stove, the refrigerator, the washer and dryer, and the pantry. However,
once the flooring with the selected pieces was installed, it is
absolutely beautiful.

"Bruce Laminate Flooring Fading Quickly"
We own a 35-year old home in Pennsylvania. This home is an investment property that we lease; therefore, we always take great care to ensure the materials used to repair or maintain the home are of excellent quality.
Approximately 3-years ago, we decided to have the carpet of the home replaced with Bruce laminate flooring. We were immediately pleased with the ease of installation, but we were surprised when our tenant shared with us that the color of the flooring was fading after only 1 1/2 years. With the help of our flooring contractor, we began the process of attempting to obtain warranty coverage through Bruce. To our dismay, the customer service provided by Bruce regarding this matter was less than professional.
Now, almost another 1 1/2 years after our first complaint, we are still without resolution. At this point, we have decided to rip out the Bruce flooring and replace with ceramic tile. We have made sure to share our poor experience with everyone we speak to. At this point, we would not recommend Bruce laminate products to a family or friend.
