"Installation of avaire tile."
Put avaire in 2 houses. A bit difficult but with a level floor and an angle grinder it went well. I installed the tile 4 years ago and no problem. Installed on concrete, old industrial rubber tile, even a double layer of old bathroom tile. I am really impressed with the tile and its appearance
The floor must be level thats the key.

"Replacements please"
Thay were easy to install, beautiful to see - and easy to clean. If only dropping a dinner knife onto them didn't crack them. I mean - drop anything hard on them and they cracked. What a bloody disappointment.
Unless you plan to not walk on them at all - Do not buy them!

"Fantastic product"
Avaire flooring is a do it yourself dream. Three years ago I tiled the sun room, kitchen, hallway, porch, bathroom and I am now doing the computer room. They snap together very easily and the spaces are nice and even. I have never had a tile break and I have dropped some very heavy things on them. Some of the reviews I read are from people whose tiles are cracking. The first and most important thing with this or any tile is have to have a level floor with no bumps. The tile should not rock back and forth when you put weight on it. The tiles with the flexable grout do give a bit when I put pressure on them but they are designed to do that. I have since bought enough to also do the master bedroom. The hardest part of these tiles is the grouting. Do not grout to many because the grout dries very fast and then it is a bit of work to get the haze off. I have saved hundreds of $ doing this myself. It sure beats haveing to lay metal lath and then puting concrete on it by paying for a contracter to do the job. I'm happy saving thousandof $'s

"Love it!"
We had the Avaire tile put into our water closet 6 years ago and it
looks the same as it did when it was installed. We hired a friend who
had laid tile before and the installation was good. On open floors with
lots of space, it goes really fast. However, trying to get the pieces to
interlock on tight corners gave us a bit of a fit - otherwise we truly
love this flooring. We are now installing it in our main bathroom and
our front door entry.

"Very disappointed"
We picked this tile because we could do it ourselves and seemed
relatively easy. In fact putting it down went quite well. Three years
later I noticed a crack in two adjoining tiles. I assumed someone
dropped something. However one year later we now have multiple tiles
cracking in different areas of our kitchen and dining area. I feel sick.
I waited years to get a beautiful floor and now I'm not sure what to do.
We will file a warranty claim but if I have to eventually replace the
floor, you can be sure it won't be Avaire.

"Awesome product"
We replaced, kitchen, dining room. Entryway, and three bathrooms with
the Avaire 3 years ago. It is still in great shape and looks amazing.
The only downside is cutting the tile as the plastic on the bottom is
hard on the saw blades. We did the installation ourselves and was
extremely easy. Recently had a flooded basement and have to replace the
laminate, Avaire will be going down.

"An expensive nightmare I can't afford to fix."
Installation was great. The self sealing grout is great. I love, love,
love the way my floor looks... Except for all the cracking tiles. 2
years and 6 months ago I had my kitchen and bathroom redone with this
tile. It looked great. I had saved up for a long time for this project.
Now, I regret every penny I spent. I have so many cracked floor tiles
it's astonishing. The grout is fine but the tiles are a nightmare. I'm
so disappointed. I'm going to have to live with my cracking crumbling
floor for a few more years till I can save up for another big investment
in flooring. *Sigh*

"Floating floor system"
We had the Sahara pattern of floor tile put in and it has been a
nightmare. This is something we would not select again. This is the
avaire but, it looks dirty and I can't stand the look. It has had some
wax put on and it came off in spots. I don't know what to do. We have
spent money on this to get it to look right but, that has not happened
It is only 8 months old. I would like to change it out for something
that looks good and a little shine to it. If anyone has any suggestions
let us know. Pat and Don

"Tile cracks easily; grout crumbles"
I had Avaire floating ceramic tile installed in my remodeled kitchen.
Within a week, we started noticing some cracked tiles and looseness of
the grout. We subsequently discovered that dropping a table fork from
the kitchen table or cupboard was enough to crack the tiles. A year
later, about 25% of the tiles are cracked and the same amount of grout
has crumbled and come loose. When we complained, someone from Snapstone
came out, pretended to examine the floor and then said that our floor
wasn't sufficiently level although he never actually measured the floor
or examined underlayment. We checked the floor later and it meets the
specs on Avaire's web site. The only reason the 'inspector' came out was
to pretend to provide customer service and falsely claim we didn't
install it correctly. This is an extraordinarily cheap product which I
would never install again. We have to tear it out and start over with
something new. It will not be Avaire or Snapstone.

"Avaire Porcealin Tile Floor"
My wife and I shopped for porcelain tile and looked at the required work
and preparation to install one as we are do it yourself. I and my wife
can not say enough good about our Avaire floor. Note Snapstone sold at
Menards is the same product made for them by Avaire. It is great and the
company has always answered there phone calls and been helpful every
time to answer our questions. We did 420 Sq Feet a Kitchen Powder room
laundry room closet and a dining area and we have a dog and 3 kids. The
floor has been in for 4 months and is great. The product is so precise
that the lock tabs are extremely accurate when installing. The hardest
part for us was the grouting but follow there instructions to a Te and
you to will enjoy this great floor. We cant say enough good about it we
are extremely satisfied you won't go wrong with this product. I talked to
several people who were also satisfied as we are to.
