"12 years and going strong"
My husband and I put the flooring in our one and only bathroom in our house. The floor is not flat and level. (Horrible builder) We put down a thin cushion (packing wrap) and a heated floor mat before putting the tiles down. We put in the required grout as directed. Easy peasy. After 12 years there is not one place that the grout has come up and I have dropped a good many things on that floor and have no broken tiles. I'm not sure what people are doing that is causing the grout problems or the tiles to break but ours is as good as it was when we first put it in. Love it!

"Regret installing this floor"
We installed this in our children's bathroom and after about 7 years overall it still looks nice. The grout started coming out around the tub last year. About a year later we installed the same colored tile over a dark linoleum floor that was in good shape - just ugly in our entryway,laundry, dining space, powder room and kitchen. Obviously with five people and a big dog, these spaces get quite a bit more use then the upstairs kids' bathroom.
Oh my, I hate this floor but mainly the grout. He has replaced some tiles in the kitchen due to cracking in a corner that has a slight dip. He attempted to replace grout but now so much of the grout is bad, I am thinking we will have to write this off as a loss and replace it with a professionally installed floor with a quality grout. The grout falls out in huge chunks, it is discolored and looks unevenly dirty throughout the entire floor.
IF this company could create a grout that stays flexible and doesn't dry out, we would be interested in trying that to salvage the floor. With as many complaints about the grout, I would think the company would put some effort into improving their product.
So, from our experience using this product in a small area like a bathroom that doesn't get much use should be ok. However, in large areas that get a lot of heavy use, be prepared to have problems with the grout and cracking and chipping of tiles especially around corners and cabinets.

"Just don't do it"
Loved this floor at first, especially since it meant getting rid of carpeting in a large area. Chose it because we knew the flooring needed to be able to flex due to being partially in the 90 year old half of the house, and then into a large, open living room/dining room area. After 6 years, at least 10% of the tiles are broken, some even have had pieces come loose and the whole tile needs to be replaced. The "flexible" grout is a joke, and I have several places where large areas of the grout need to be removed and replaced. I have already been warned that the new grout won't adhere to the old grout, so that should make this even more challenging. I hate to replace it this soon, but it is looking like it is probably the best long term solution instead of just trying to bandaid it for another few years. I would never suggest that someone buy this brand.

"Horrible!"
Bought stones with grout and within 1 year, 10 tiles out of 100 have shattered with chunks taken out. Was told by menards that they were indestructible. Liars! I called about the warranty and they blamed me and refused to help me. So i called menards and they apologized and stated they know the product is junk but are in contract so they have to sell the crap. Even the grout is coming out in junks. Piece of shit company.

"Buyer Beware!"
We wanted to put tile in our kitchen but having worked in a flooring store years ago, I knew if you don't install cement board correctly where there can be movement your tile and grout will crack. I did tons of research and found SnapStone. It was more expensive than traditional tile but loved the look and being a DIY person and have installed traditional tile over concrete floor, hardwood flooring and many types of laminate.
Also having a dad that has built many houses and can do anything we decided to go with SnapStone. Buyer Beware, looked great for the first couple years but did have some issues with grout coming up and having to spot replace areas. Now we have several tiles cracked for no reason, grout is not flex as advertised and once it comes up you can't just clean and replace it.... doesn't stay and just pops out. In the long run we would have been better off having traditional tile installed by a professional - would have been money ahead!

"Never again"
Installed in the kitchen and wanted to speed up the job by using SnapStone, It looked very nice when complete.
Big mistake, Tiles cracked any time something was dropped on the floor.
after one year there are 12 cracked tile, I have to replace the whole floor.
I would not tell anyone to purchase SnapStone.

"Not Durable"
A salesmen at Lowe's recommended snapstone. I decided to go with it even though it was more expensive but because I thought it would be easier to install a floating tile floor. The floor looked great at first and received many compliments. Unless I told them, most people didn't even know it was a different style of tile floor. After 3 years, we now have cracked tiles, and the grout is starting to come out. This product will not stand the test of time and is not durable for long term use.

"Unhappy with the tile"
I love the look of this tile but the durability is very poor. Almost every tile in my kitchen is cracked. I contacted the manufacturer and have never received a response. The floor is very expensive for the quality. I would never purchase or recommend this flooring again.

Laid in approximately 660 square feet (147 boxes) in a 1970's Rambler style home. Decided on SnapStone primarily because I wanted a tile floor that could be laid without glueing. I would have had to replace subfloor. Found the product easy to lay down. I had less than 1 percent waste. Grouting was the hardest part. Have gotten many compliments on the floor. Oils definitely buy product again.

"So Very Happy!"
Well over 5 years ago we used SnapStone Tile in our front door entry and hall and bathroom. Loved it! So then we did our other bathroom and was very pleased with the way that it looked also. 4 years ago we did our kitchen and could not be happier! We have a dining room and it was carpeted, after 19 + years we decided to use SnapStone Tile there and get rid of the old carpet. Could not be happier. I am a small woman of 65 years and I put the tiles together myself and my husband cut the tiles with a wet saw to fit around the walls etc We love the look and the durability of these tiles, still looks wonderful after all these years! I would recommend this tile, read the instructions, I found it easy to do and I did all the grouting myself! I did a few each day and took my time, well worth the outcome! Thank you so much, I have beautiful floors!
