Review:
"Bella Ash Hardwood Floors Are Awesome"
We installed Bella Ash hardwood floors in our new home in our kitchen/dining room and living room area that we just completed in 2009. They come with a 50 year warranty and are well worth it. You can really get a great deal on these at Lumber Liquidators. They were simple to install and come already prefinished with an aluminum oxide finish. They are beautiful. I sometimes wish they had a little more character "knot holes and the such" but other than that I am very pleased with them. They may not have been the best choice for our kitchen as I have dented them by accidentally dropping large objects on to the floor, but dents and dings are character marks to me; so, I still like the choice we made. Ash is a light colored wood, and it reflects the sunlight that streams into the house from our many windows allowing us to save money on electricity. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a light colored wood perhaps in their living room or bedroom - not the kitchen unless I explained that it dents easily and they were okay with this. We have yet to make any repairs to the floors but anticipate having to sand them down and refinish them in 20 years just to keep their beauty. Since they are 3/4" thick, we can probably get away with sanding them down twice (if we stay here that long) before we would need to completely replace them. I would not recommend hardwood for a copule with small children as falls could be quite painful.
