"My flooring has cracks and the pieces are not the same width"
I had hardwood flooring installed in my house 10 months ago. My floors are full of cracks and the widths very in sizes. The installers used what was sent. And filled the cracks with wood putty and Lowes sent an inspector and was at my house for 3 hours and everything checked out with the inspection the Dew Point and Humidity was @ 42 percent well in the 30% to 60% that was told to me. and BRUCE said that the Humidity. level is to High so They are not standing by the 50-year warranty. And Lowes has helped me out a lot they gave me flooring to fix some of the cracks and I had to go back to Lowes two times to get enough flooring because two boxes was full off cracks. I have just started remolding my house and i have to take up all the flooring and start over. I will never BUY ANY BRUCE PRODUCTS again. So now my Attorney it is taking care of it.

"Quality control is a thing of the past"
Doing the entire upstairs of the house. There are so many 1 foot pieces in these boxes you would think I was putting down a parquet floor. They literally give you two long pieces about four midsize and the rest of the box is small little 1 foot to one and a half foot pieces Boards are different with and tongue and grooves are off. You would think a company this size would have the best of the best molders. this stuff is just embarrassing.

"Great so far"
I had never installed flooring before, but after researching it, I carefully installed it for a dining room in our 1960s ranch about 11 years ago. It was easier than I had expected, and I loved the pre-finished oak. Apparently I did a good job because there have been no problems with warping, finish, or scratches. We have a dog and a 10-year-old boy and sometimes wear shoes in the house, and a corner of it is in a main pathway through the house. It still looks like it did the day we installed it. Very pleased. I wonder if some of these bad reviews were poor installations. I did find a few small pieces of the flooring in the 6 boxes that I didn't want to use because of color, knots, or some blemish, but those pieces were very few, maybe 2-3 sq feet out of 120 sq feet. I am pleased the exact style and color are still available because I had planned to replace kitchen carpet with hardwood. With the bankruptcy of Armstrong, a closely-related company, I am going to purchase what I need for the kitchen soon and have no hesitation with it. I thought this flooring should receive a good review. We have not babied the floor, we have used it as we normally would, and it has held up. I'd expect another 20-40 years before we need to refinish it.

"32,000.00 later… my floors ruined in 5 months"
I paid 32,000.00 for my Bruce floors 5 months ago. This is real oak. 3/4" thick and around 5 inches wide. Prefinished. I used TOP of the line glue to adhere them as stated was acceptable on packaging instructions. I hired a very well known flooring co to install. I am 5 months in and ALL of my flooring is coming apart and cupping. They told me it was moisture. I have NO moisture anywhere in my home. I removed several boards and they are completly dry! My subfloor is completly dry! This wood is JUNK! I flip houses and this is the first time I've used this product. I lay floors all the time. I've NEVER had a problem with any other wood floor I've laid. Stay away! Don't buy this product! You will regret it! I just threw away 32,000.00 and now I have to tear them out of my brand new 3800 square foot home. Terrible! Bruce, you should be ashamed!

"Extremely dissatisfied"
We put Bruce prefinished natural hardwood oak in our 36th house (we buy and sell homes)...it is as if they are the softest pine you have ever walked on, but they are oak...they scratch easier than any floor we have ever had...we wear socks or slippers in the house and have no pets...we will never buy this product again...

"Does not last"
We had our Bruce flooring laid less than 5 years and started experiencing issues. At that time, the local store where we purchased the flooring had closed and therefore we tried to contact Bruce Flooring directly and were told we would have to pay to have an inspector come and look at the flooring. We could not afford that so we kept dealing with the floor. There is a 15-year warranty on the flooring and as the years went by, it got worse. The finish kept peeling off in well-used areas and in some places it started to splinter. So we decided to try contacting them through our local Lowes as they sell the product. Lowes did not know how to file a claim so it took several weeks of follow-up to even get a claim recorded and an inspector arranged. We had to constantly follow up with Bruce in order to have an inspector return our calls. He came out, took pictures and focused on one spot that wasn't that bad. We never got a copy of the report and had to contact Lowes for that only to learn that the inspector said there was nothing wrong with the flooring. It was normal wear and tear. We had over 3,000 sq. ft of flooring and we had to pay to have half of it replaced last year. Bruce would not stand behind their warranty. Do NOT buy this product. It does not hold up, it scratches, peels and splinters. Terrible mistake buying this stuff.

"Cabin grade flooring"
My floor has held up very well. Even my dogs toenails did not hurt it. I bought the cabin grade of flooring or 2nds and it looks beautiful. In the next 6 months I plan to have a coat of poly to seal it permently.

"Definitely not what we expected"
We put a Bruce hardwood floor in our home 7 years ago. It just my husband and I live here. No shoes are permitted on in the house. So how the hell can anyone explain the stain just coming off? We have mark's all over where the stain went missing! This floor is garbage!! If you know of a class action lawsuit against Bruce, please lady all of us know. Thank you!

"Bad Home Depot Installation"
We are are busy parents that just sold our old house and bought a new house. We bought wood floors from home depot as a special gift for our upcoming anniversary. We did our research on hickory wood by looking at their display and talking to their employees. When we got our floors installed it looked busy and didn't look anything like their display. Display doesn't show blonde parts of wood. If it did, we would have never gotten it. Also the craftsmanship was very poor: fingerprints on the freshly walls, blemished parts of wood installed and a terrible trim job done.

"Disgusted"
We had the floor installed in July. Within a month, nicks and scratches. We do not wear shoes in the house or have kids. We work hard for our money and want what we pay $$$ to look nice and last.
