"Horrible durability"
Having this floor in my house for 3 years and it is already failing big time. The finish is scraping off and cannot stand up to basic foot traffic. We take care of it correctly and it doesnt matter, it is awful. Never again-a big waste of money that I have to live with now

"Excellent performance from Jasper Engineered Wood Flooring"
As a homeowner who has recently self installed a brand new engineered wood flooring system 6 months ago, I find myself admiring the quality of the product more and more every day. Installation was remarkably simple - each wood panel had a series of interlocking tabs cut into the base of the plank making installation as easy as sizing, cutting and then assembling a jigsaw puzzle. The product fit my budget nicely and I was able to complete the project under budget and faster than I expected. I found that my engineered wood flooring has another benefit over traditional hardwood flooring as well - warp resistance and easy repairability. Shortly after installation, I made the mistake, completely my own fault of course, of spilling some bleach I was carrying to the laundry room onto my new kitchen floor. One of the downsides of engineered wood is that it does absorb moisture because it isn't water repellent. Luckily though, replacing the damaged spot was as easy as unlocking the affected plank and fitting a new one right in it's place. It's as good as new now. It's nice and quiet to walk on (not at all creaky, like my traditional wood flooring was) and it just has an excellent feel underfoot. I'd recommend a do it yourself engineered wood flooring to any homeowner who is handy with a set of simple tools. You'll save a fortune over hiring a contractor to come in and put in traditional hardwood!
