"Don't look at my hardwood floor, it might scratch!!"
Never having purchased hardwood flooring we were told engineered wood is
the way to go these days and were introduced to Mohawk. We did some
bedrooms and a family room with it and were planning on the rest of the
house. After the first two day we noticed scratches on the wood. We have
been extremely careful, put felt pads on everything. The scratches are
not just tiny surface ones, but enough that white is starting to show
through. My contractor told me he has put lots of flooring down with
that scratch resistant coating and it is usually harder to cut, this
stuff was "like a knife through butter" almost like cutting trim he
said. I gave samples to my retailer and Mohawk did some 'testing' and
the results came back fine, shocker!! There is no way in hell I am
putting this flooring in high traffic areas and if you have a dog,
forget it!!! I spent a lot of of money on this wood and in my mind it
was a complete loss, my wife is so upset she wants to rip it all up!!
Complete garbage, stay away! You have been warned.

"Splitting Mohawk Bamboo Floors"
We had Mohawk Strand Bamboo installed in our new home, glued down over a
crawl space. Within months, the floor has over 50 splitting boards and
numerous surface waves and uneven texture. The floor continues to split
and change regularly. Have 2 flooring inspections by certified
inspectors stating that the splits are related to manufacturing issues.
The floor has a 25 year warranty and Mohawk will only replace 21 boards
while ignoring the rest of the split boards as well as other
manufacturer issues noted in reports.

"Poor Quality Laminate Flooring"
We have Mohawk laminate flooring throughout the upstairs of our home. We
are very unsatisfied with the product. The locking mechanism doesn't
hold and it keeps coming apart, requiring us to kick it back into place.
Also, it has not worn very well, with wear showing up on the corners. In addition, we have a number of pieces that seem to fade or are cloudy, compared to the pieces next to them.
We contacted Mohawk about their lifetime warranty, but they gave us the run around and did nothing to help.
We would not recommend Mohawk laminate flooring to anyone.

"My review on my wood flooring"
This is my review on my wood flooring. I currently remodeled my house and my husband took up are carpet and redone the floor with wood flooring. My husband and I chose to purchase the Mohawk Engineered Flooring the model 32236-20 Engineered Pizzicato Golden. I absolutely loved the golden color of the wood it looked somewhat like a honey color. We decided to go with this brand because my friend told us how durable it is against scratches and scuffs. So we chose to go with it since we have to twin baby's that love to play cars on the floor. We have had our wood flooring for five months now. So far I love the flooring it's easy to clean doesn't scratch easy. Scuff marks from shoes are easy to remove also. We have made no repairs or replacements so far there has been no need. We will probably be replacing the carpet in our guest house this summer with this same brand of wood flooring. I might go with a different color this time just to change things a bit but I love the wood flooring. The price is pretty far it's around three dollars for 3/8'' thick by 3-1/4'' wide piece. I would defiantly recommend the Mohawk Engineered wood flooring to any friend of mine really if they have kids.

"Mohawk Eskridge Engineered Hickory Hardwood Flooring"
My Wife and I recently purchased an older home that was in the process of being renovated. As such we were left with the need to cover the sub-floor with an option of our choice. After looking around we decided to go with the Mohawk Hardwood from a local supply store. The flooring was installed by my Father-in-Law who was experienced in it and our downstairs (1000 sq ft) was done in a matter of days.
Needless to say the flooring looks great. We have been living in the home for 6 months with a 90 pound dog and two cats. The floors have resisted scratches and the dog and car hair easily are cleaned from them. In fact the lighter color in this model often seems to hide the hair, making it less noticeable and needing to be cleaned
less. I would recommend this product, even as it is more expensive than a laminate "floating" floor as the look and durability is second to none.

"Completely Satified with the result"
I installed it about a year ago. It is very durable and instulation after getting started was pretty easy. I put in over a slab so the glue was very sticky and hard to work with if it set to long but other than that it was easy with a little practice. I would strongly recomend Mowhawk flooring to anyone.

"Very good buy. Very happy with this flooring."
I put in my flooring approximately one year ago, soon after I purchased my home. I purchased the flooring and installed it myself. It was very easy to install and the wood was already finished, so I did not have to do any finishing. I simply installed it with the directions included in the box. The floor is withstanding very much abuse. My kitchen is a high traffic area and the flooring seems near perfect still after a year of use. I have not had to refinish or apply any treatments to the flooring since I purchased it. I purchased this product form an online vendor and the description given on the website was spot on. Simple maintenance (sweeping, mopping) has proven to keep this floor very pleasing aesthetically. I would definitely recommend this product to others and I would certainly purchase other products from this manufacturer. Since the flooring was installed, I did have to replace one piece due to a small splintering on the edge of the wood. I had left over product from when I had installed it. So, I simply cut a piece to size and installed it appropriately. I am very happy with this product.

"Excellent Hardwood Floor"
We have owned our hardwood floor for over five years. It is Brazilian Cherry hardwood and it very lovely. It cleans very easily and doesn't show dirt and mess quickly. We have it on our entire downstairs and we enjoy how easy it makes like not having carpet and only hardwood. The things I don't like are that, even though it is a hard wood, it had been nicked and scratched which we can't get rid of. Also, the color has faded with the sunlight just coming in the windows. I know these two things would be fixed if we had it refinished but it is a big, messy job and is expensive. If we could install this hardwood in the rest of our house, we would because it has been a great flooring. We would definitely recommend it to family and friends, and in fact, we talked some of our family into installing more in their house and they have been so happy they did.

"Pre-Engineered Hickory Flooring"
I have owned my wood floor for about 2 years now, we have 2 big dogs and the floor has held up fantastic. It is very durable and the colors are beautiful. The one small complaint I would have is that I thought it would get darker than it actually is, other than that we love it! No repairs, no scuffs, nothing, its like we have a shield protecting it! I would definately recommend Mowhawk to anyone who is looking for flooring for their home!

"The Pros and Cons of Laminate Wood Flooring"
There are many reasons why you should consider investing in laminate flooring for your home. Laminate flooring is durable, easy to install, easy to clean, comes in a wide variety of realistic wood and stone finishes and is more affordable than hardwood and other types of flooring. Though there are many advantages, everything has pros and cons. We installed our Mohawk Laminate flooring about 3 years ago. Over the years, I have experienced a few disadvantages. During the winter months, the flooring lacks the warmth of natural wood, making it harder to heat our home. I have also noticed that the boards can warp, bubble and become damaged if exposed to regular moisture. It is not a good idea to install laminate flooring in bathrooms due to moisture, possible water leaks and water puddles. Vinyl or tile would be more suitable for bathrooms. I also would not recommend laminate in the kitchen area for the same reasons. If you had issues with your kitchen sink, refrigerator or dish washer leaking water, more than likely it will damage your flooring. I have laminate wood flooring in my kitchen that is slightly warped in some areas due to accidental spills that could not be cleaned up in time. In my opinion, laminate flooring is more suitable for living rooms and bedrooms. Even dining rooms may be risky due to accidental spills. Though we have not repaired our warped areas, damaged boards are a simple fix and can easily be removed and replaced without having to repair the entire area. Laminate flooring has a "click-lock" design. This "click-lock" design is often combined with dry glue that is already on the product and requires a little water on a sponge or cloth to activate it. Despite the disadvantages and even though Laminate is not as durable as hardwood or tile flooring, I still rate my flooring a 3 out of 5 and would recommend Mohawk Laminate Flooring to my friends and family. If you are mindful about where you install it in your home, you shouldn't have any problems or possible damages to worry about or repair.
