"How do I get information on fixing my 3 year old floors."
Just purchased my home which has Scandian floors/cherry. The former
owner put non-slip tape on floors and I cannot get the product off the
floors - and it is everywhere. When contacting the company which it was
purchased they have been no help and say it is not a warrantee
issue....Where do I go?

"Do not buy- Scandian is out of business"
Do not buy this product. Scandian wood flooring pulled out of the USA.
They are only in Brazil and you won't get any services other than
warranty pushback. Save your self the pain! Do not buy from this
company.

"Brazilian Cherry Wood Flooring"
I also had Scandian Brazilian Cherry Wood Flooring put in when we had
our house remodeled. We had it put in the family room, kitchen, living
room, dining room and hall. From day one the floors showed every mark
and easily scratched. We put over $7,000.00 into the floors so there is no
way we could have them replaced. I had to go out and buy area rugs to
help with the problem. I can dust mop and an hour later dust will show on
the floors. I am very unsatisfied with the floor.

"Look Nice/Do Not Hold Up Well"
I "upgraded" my wood floors to Scandian Timborana through the developer when choosing materials for my condominium. This wood is SOFT and, like the other reviewer, I feel they are defective. Scratches and High Heel marks are EVERYWHERE. The strange thing about it is that in high traffic areas, two boards/planks right next to each other show completely different wear. One might just show a little and the one next to it looks like it had a hammer put to it. I have also noticed that they are very hard to keep clean. When they are clean, they only look nice for a couple of days if that(minus all of the scratches and dents). The only reason I didn't say very unsatisfied is that they are still a nice, exotic looking wood. So if you just want to look at them and not live on them, these could be the ones for you. If I had to do it all over again, I would have spent the extra money for solid hardwoods and not engineered. Atleast if that was the case the floors could be sanded and refinished.

"DO NOT BUY SCANDIAN HARDWOOD FLOORING"
We are very unhappy with our Scandian, Brazilian Cherry Hardwood Floor, and are more upset at the lack of service and the resolving of our problem.
We invested over $7000 for this floor that was put in our open kitchen, living room modification. We purchased the floor from a Factory Authorized True Value/Lumber Company. The flooring was put in by professional contractors.
The problem we have had from day one is terrible streaking, even footprints from your socks show up, the wood finish seems softer than normal with scratch marks all over. The contractors have said they thought a few of the boxes of hardwood were defective in their finish and hardness. The flooring that was installed in the kitchen is so much worse than the finish in the living room. Only my wife and I live in the house so there aren't kids, pets or anything else to ruin this floor.
The store we bought the flooring from got us in touch with Scandian and at first, they did email us to ask questions about our problem. But they kept telling me that maybe we did not clean the floor properly and get rid of the dust on the floor after it was installed. I told them we used that Bona cleaner as directed from day one and there has been a problem from day one. Since those early emails, Scandian has never contacted us back. The sad part is that without them sending someone to see the floor and look at it, how do they know if there is a defect or not. I even challenged them to clean the floor themselves if they thought there wasn't a problem with defective wood and show me if they can get it not to streak, and look like some old floor.
We will not suggest Scandian to anyone. I should have purchased the flooring from Lumber Liquidators.
