"Beautiful look but scratches easy."
As other reviewers who have purchased a Schon product have stated, I am an agreement that the floor is not durable. The installation (clic/lock) and the look of the floor are great, but the floor scratches way too easy. I think it would be awesome product if not for the high risk potential of placing nics or easily being able to scratch the thin layer of wood used on top of the particle like board beneath. As much as it is aesthetically pleasing, I can not recommend this product due to durability issues.

"Schon quick clic wood floor"
Schon flooring comes with no instructions. There are five different sized boards in each package. We did get the floor down in part of the house. We have an awful lot of the short boards left and may have to buy more flooring to complete the project. We expected to have flooring all one length that we would have to cut. Somewhat disappointed that you are not advised of this when you purchase this product.

"Red Oak Floating"
Just put down 265 square feet of this flooring. Thought twice after purchasing when I read all of these reviews. I couldn't be happier!! Installed using a Craftsman Laser Trac 10 inch table saw. It looks so good that we plan on replacing more carpet with this. After figuring out I had to put down 2 rows first to get started, it went down in 1 day. I used the Bellawood blue moisture barrier and stapled at the beginning and used the tape seal provided. To help with the staggering of the joints, cut your first board about 6 inches short, and all will cover a joint. I only had to do that 3 times. This went down and together so much easier than my Shaw Laminate. I had great service from Lumber Liquidators, Also get the Bellawood mop and cleaning kit. It cleans the laminate and the wood with no streaks. No problems for us.

Review:
"Schon engineered Brazilian - truly horrible product"
After purchasing a town house in central jersey, we decided to move forward on getting reno's done prior to moving in. Floors was one of the items on the list and we wanted to place hardwood upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs had a carpet and downstairs had hardwood that was old and parts were damaged. Went to ll stores many times to discuss and look at different types of wood. The schon Brazilian cherry was our pick, since we were advised that it is a strong wood and can withstand wear and tear (we have twin 2 year old boys and throwing things is on their agenda from time to time). After having 1500 square feet installed, we noticed that there were scratches and dents on the floor. As with many other posts on the net, the same issue exists with this hardwood. Subfloor downstairs is concrete and upstairs plywood is the subfloor and the same thing happens on both levels. Definitely an error in selecting this wood. If we did it again, solid wood is the way to go. Engineered just doesn't have the durability that we require, at least not this brand. Ask ll for a sample and bang away at it with another piece of wood. Brazilian hardwood can take a beating. Overall recommend not buying schon engineered hardfloor as it scratches easily (regardless of what the kids do) and dents very easily. Ll won't do anything about it after opening a case and appealing to corporate. I'll prob end up replacing certain boards since there inoir interest in throwing away the money invested.

"Schon Engineered floating wood floor"
We purchased our Schon wood flooring from Lumber Liquidators one year ago and had one of their installers do the installation. It was installed as a floating floor. We have noticed for some time that the floor creaks terribly. Has anyone else had that same problem? We are very unhappy with the product. It also scratches very easily. I wish we had not purchased the product. We have contacted Lumber Liquidators and are being told the problem lies with the installation. The installer has never come across this problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue? We do not believe there is anything wrong with the installation. We believe the problem lies with the product.

Review:
"DON'T DO IT!"
We installed Schon Brazilian Walnut engineered flooring in our kitchen/dining area. Lots of variation in the color from golden to ebony and worst of all, it dents way too easy. Walk on it in heels, drop a spoon, or even felt-tipped chairlegs will make dents. Brazilian walnut is super hard when it is solid, not when it is a paper-thin vereer on top of a plywood that is very soft. What a mistake! Don't expect any interest or help from Lumber Liquidators. I suspect the praise reviews on this site are a staged effort to balance all the unhappy customers. L.L. should immediately remove this product from their stores.

"engineered bamboo"
Installed for a customer who bought from lumber liquidators [recommended for basement with moisture barrier/pad [extra $$$] 3 weeks later buckles/gaps...LL Sent out independent who deemed too dry what kind of manufacturer would even okay this flooring for any room [never mind a basement] when it is so fragile/delicate that it cannot withstand the slightest variations in any atmospheric changes...Boo on ll for laying on customer/installer and not going after Schon for inferior product not applicable to these situations as claimed... "Don't buy SCHON brand flooring"
This is the most undurable wood and unbelievable that a product of such low quality would be on the market for use to walk on. It dents easily even with furniture protectors and felt tips on everything. I have had my floors just at a year and they look like garbage. I would never purchase from this company again. I took the sample home from Lumber Liquidators to do a damage test prior to purchasing and used my keys and all types of tools to beat and scratch on it and it held up extremely well. However the true product out of the box, is another story! Buyers beware!

"Its all bowed wood"
I am an installer in Orlando, Florida and I have to say Schon wood is the worst. They say buy 20% for waste when only 5%-10% is needed. This is because it not a good product. It even has 7ft planks that look like ski'S. When you take it back there is a 20% restocking fee and you only get store credit. This wood is garbage! I started a word of mouth ban on all my estimates.

"warm,inviting,easy to clean,durable"
I have owned my flooring for 4 years now,I have it installed in my kitchen, living room, family room, and hallway's.I find this floor exceptional for the fact that it is very durable (the kids cant destroy it) it's very easy to clean in the kitchen just a swiffer wet mop and your done.there is absolutly nothing i dislike about this floor well except for the fact it wasnt free but nothing is right? i've never had top repair or replace it.i have recomended this brand of flooring to many friends a few neighbors and really anyone i talk to i think i should be a spokes person for the company that makes this floor i am that pleased with the quality and finish of it. i would say if you need or want some new flooring dont hesitate you wont be disapointed with this product.
