"Horrible Floor and support"
They do not stand behind what they sell and do not assist in rectifying problems. Picked out Shaw flooring per builder's direction, entire first floor and walkway around railing on second floor that leads to bedrooms (3,300 sq. ft. home) Had them at the home multiple times for cracked boards. Their only solution was to extend the warranty for a second year. Now 8 years later finish coats (stain and shine) is wearing. Manufacturer marketing material shows a 50 year warranty for finish, no exceptions. Contacted Shaw, they claim warranty is for 25 years, shine excluded. Was told normal wear is also not covered. So I used it normally but don't expect the gloss to last. Was also accused of possibly lying when I told them it was only cleaned with a damp fiber mop. Large supplier like that should advocate on behalf of their clients not use bait ad switch tactics. Another Shaw retailer came and offered advice and a different opinion than Shaw. Now only question is small claims court or lawsuit.

"Horrible"
It is almost two years since I have this floor, it scratches, cracks, peels. It is also curling at the edges. Shaw does NOT warranty their product. Very expensive mistake.

"Unsatisfied customer"
Our Shaw flooring started cupping and peeling within the first year . The company sent an inspector ( the only one in Hawaii) and was testing the flooring for 3 hours. The report came back it wasn't the installation and it wasn't the material either. What was it then? It was very expensive and we have to get new flooring. Don't waste your money on this product. Shaw flooring does not stand by its product.

"Shaw Flooring is Junk"
Within 1 year of installation the hardwood began splitting we notified the retailer and they sent their installer to inspect the problem. The installer's conclusion was that this is a factory material defect so the retailer notified the factory they in turn scheduled an independent inspection that took approximately 2 hours. He pointed out several problems with the flooring, I waited several weeks before contacting the retailer to learn the factory denied our claim. I was shocked to learned that the factory claimed the hardwood material was within their specifications. My only question to the retailer was how is that possible when we now are experiencing large 12-15" slivers breaking off. Shaws Warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on!

"Repair is difficult!"
My floor was installed a few months ago. I had new built-ins installed over it, and there was some damage to one plank from that installation. Since it's a beveled edge, you cant customer-cut a length and make it look right. I now wish I'd just put wood filler in it and stained. When Shaw says the planks are "random length" that means you cannot replace just one plank....you have to make a repair all the way to a wall. I have four boxes of extra planks and not one matches the length of the board I needed to replace. I guess that's a good way to sell more flooring, but it causes a lot of additional expense and trouble to the customer. I tried contact Shaw and my response was basically "that's just the way it is". Well, if Shaw standardized the lengths, it wouldn't be "the way it is". Just bad policy on their part. I hope I don't have more disappointments coming with this flooring. I spent a lot of money on flooring from Shaw as a part of my recent renovation.

This product has product defects and there's not much you can do about it. After 5 years it's falling apart and the company is not concerned. We have a number of planks that are splitting in the same place and peeling up. These are engineered hardwoods and they are peeling. There are not worth .50 a sq ft (installed). We have to replace 3000 sq ft which is going to run about 40k.

"Fades"
We installed the top of the line Shaw walnut flooring in our study and dining room. Neither of these rooms ever receive direct sunshine and we have always had wood Louvered shades on the windows always tilted slightly up to increase sun protection. After 2 years there was dramatic fading where our area rug is positioned and there is no other way to position the rug or furniture in that room as Shaw suggests which is ludicrous anyway. If we ever sell our home I'm sure we will need to replace all of this very expensive flooring. Do not waste your money

"Terrible"
We just moved into our new home, this floor has a few cracks where you can see white underneath, spots that also look like the finish is wearing. I do NOT recommend this floor at all.

"Do Not Buy!"
Like other posts, I wish I had seen these reviews before buying. This was one of the most expensive products in the store, so expected it should hold up well. It does not! If you drop Anything- cup, book, spoon, plastic - on it, expect a good sized dent. Terrible durability. This is a house with two 50 year olds, no pets, little traffic. After less than a year, it looks terrible. I would not purchase again.

"Not worth calling engineered wood"
It splinters and snags my socks, it cracks easily, it dents easily, I had to have some planks removed and oh my the only wood part are the top and the bottom, the one in the middle looks like compressed paper. I compared this to other engineered hardwood and Shaw is flimsy. This makes the builder look bad using this type of wood flooring.
