"Worst floor ever"
We are facing the same issues as all the other remarks on the site. Within a month of moving into the house, the finish started coming off the floor, boards buckling, boards splintering at the ends, and there are only 2 of us living here. Floor is dangerous to walk on without shoes due to splinters in feet. Super unhappy with this disaster.

"Wasted a lot of $$$"
This flooring is the worst. Replaced our original 3/4" hardwood with this and totally regret it. Scratches everywhere and we are very careful, knowing it is 'engineered'. Installed about 6 months ago and now just wondering how long it will take until is gets so ugly that we need to replace it again. Will never use another Shaw product again, especially this junk. It looks good but don't waste your money, it does not wear well at all.

"Beyond angry"
Had a new home built by Pulte Homes in Myrtle Beach, in mid-2018. Standard flooring was Shaw engineered hardwood. Did not forsee any problems, as we had had engineered hardwood in a previous home. Big mistake! This is a shabby, substandard product. Touch-up painters ground paint into the grain of the floors everywhere, dust has collected in every grain in and joint. Anything that drips on this floor is instantly absorbed, and remains as a mark Permitted cleaning products do not clean (Bona, or Shaw spray cleaners) In addition, the finish layer is so shallow, that we have numerous chips and dings, even in areas that are not walked on. Wish I had researched this floor! Builder and manufacturer do not stand behind this product.

"Awful!"
We built our home 1 year ago to find out that a year later that Shaw was the type of floors we have. I have been working with Shaw for 7 months now to get some kind of claim situated with them. My floors are engineered hardwood and awful! Scratches everywhere, dents everywhere. I do not recommend them at all. Their floors are awful!

"Worst flooring ever!"
We have these crap floors installed in our brand new construction home. We've been in the home less than a year, and the flooring is separating and peeling as if there was major flooding issues. We've cleaned the floor exactly as we were instructed from the beginning (with their stupid RX spray bottle cleaner, and a dry dust mop), and I have 1300 sf of flooring that needs to be replaced. Laminate is supposed to be more durable, especially with kids and pets...these floors are anything but durable. I'm pissed.

"I don't even know if their carpet is good"
Shaw flooring is a terrible waste of money, wood chips, and petroleum. This floor bubbles when an 8 oz drink is spilled on the seams. I have dropped pans and kitchen knives and caused chips in almost every instance. I can't imagine flooring worse than Shaw's product. Their product research lab must make great sandwiches, I can't see how else they could be employed. Please stay away from Shaw. This is a warning. I didn't have pets or kids and was being generally careful once I discovered the pitfalls of the Shaw laminate. It needs replaced already.

"Perfect after 1 year"
We read a lot of reviews of these engineered floors before we purchased. Universally poor but in talking with the furniture company we were going to purchase from they swore by the product. We have been customers of there's going on 20 years and we've seen them bend over backwards to fix problems so we decided to take the risk. We did 1500sq ft of flooring last year over on top of solid oak hardwood. We followed the directions, including the biggest one which is taking moisture readings to make sure we were compliant with the warranty. Drew up a floor plan and broke it down in 40sq ft sections and took readings. A meter can be had for $30 or so on Amazon. After reading a lot of the reviews on delamination, our guess after doing the install is it is from the nail gun. We purchased a Dewalt nail gun with a protective rubber tip. The tip protects the material from any impact of the nail gun. That tip wears out. After about 700sq ft we started to notice chipping and minor cracks in the clear coat only. The tip had worn itself down. We replaced the tip and the 4-5 boards we noticed and the chipping stopped. They were very small, you probably would not notice them without looking. Any boards that had any kind of damage from nailing were replaced. It has been a year now and we have 2 100lb dogs. Yes we've gotten some scratches but they were because the dogs struggled to get up, not from walking and running on them. We had had no delamination problems on the floors. We had had water spill on them and stand without seeping through, cleaned it up and no issues. They look fantastic after a year and zero issues.

"Bad Floors"
I purchased a DR Horton Custom home in July of 2016 in Tega Cay, SC. I was told that the home had an upgraded engineered hardwood floor. After living in the house for 2years, the floors look disgusting with dents, surface scratches. My wife & I are both retired & have a small Boston Terrier so the floors are well taken care of & not abused at all. It is to the point now that the floors look so bad they will have to be replaced soon. There are several other homeowners in our neighborhood with the same floors & same complaints. Totally unacceptable for a company like Shaw. Discussion in the neighborhood now is for a Class Action suit against the company. The builder says they are not responsible its the flooring company.

"Excellent Experience!"
Our experience with Costco/Shaw Flooring/The Floor Source in Phoenix, Arizona was a very positive one. We had new hardwood flooring placed in our entire home. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. The floors are gorgeous! I can't say enough about the crew. They were skilled craftsman who knew their trade and laid the floors like true artisans. The crew came on time, worked hard all day long and were knowledgeable in addition taking the time to answer our questions and explain the installation schedule so that we could prep the rooms ahead of time. The initial timeframe for installation was 10 days. This crew completed it in 6 days! But, they did not shortcut anything. They stayed late each day ensuring that the floor was laid correctly and beautifully! Cy, our sales person at the Floor Source/Costco, was knowledgeable, worked with us on pricing and payment options and did not try to upsell us. He was genuinely interested in providing us with the best possible flooring. Cy brought us numerous hardwood flooring samples and let us keep them several days so that we could see the samples in different light. When we made a final decision, he confirmed that our choice was a great option and would make our home feel warm and inviting. I couldn't agree more! The floors have truly transformed our home and I can't say enough great things about our experience with Costco flooring.
