"Avoid this"
Awful product. The finish wears off in high traffic areas. Ours was installed in a new built house in 2013 and was looking bad not too long after we moved in. Used the color stick for shading areas where color chipped or worn off. But after awhile, this technique could not keep up with the floor damages caused just by everyday normal use. My wife's office floor has large areas where the color has worn off. Also subject to edge curling if it comes in contact with liquid. The kitchen floor has many curled boards. Imagine that! This floor is super fragile and Shaw should be reimbursing everyone who paid good money for this really bad floor product.

"Engineered oak flooring- best t&g system ever"
I have installed several different systems by other manufacturers and this was the easiest and most effective I have ever installed. It is sturdy. The tongue was not easily broken. It clicked together tightly enough not to keep coming apart. I would highly recommend this product to anyone - especially do-it-yourselfers like me. I am a 60 year old woman and I installed 260 at of this floor all by myself. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Loved it and it looks great. I would definitely buy this product again. Any day of the week. I do not, nor have I ever worked for Shaw and neither has anyone in my family. This is a completely unbiased opinion.

"Never again"
I wish I could write a review on the floor itself but because we never received it that is impossible. I can however give you a review of the experience. We ordered our floor in September and were told it was in stock, ready to ship and be delivered on November 1st. Timed for a remodel that we paid a contractor to complete who will now be gone because he has another job to do. Since Nov 1st it has been "delayed" 4 times with zero explanation or even an answer as to when or if it would be delivered. Shaw customer service was the worst we've ever experienced. One lady told us she had a "cold" and that was why she couldn't tell us where our floor was or if we should order something else? We are now out the time and money this has cost us and had to go find a different floor last minute because Shaw wouldn't tell us anything. Horrible business with terrible customer service. Unless you have months to sit around and wait for this company to figure out what they're doing, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

"Coming apart at the seams! Horrible! Update to previous review!"
Since my last review my flooring has gotten worse. Coming apart where there is no traffic. I contacted Shaw again and they asked me to call them. I waited til my next day off work (2 days later). It was impossible explaining to the gal that finally answered that I was told by Shaw floors in an email to contact them. After about 10 minutes she finally understood. She told me that the gal that handles the claims for the store I purchased flooring from was out to lunch. And she would call me back as soon as she came back. That was over 2 weeks ago. After a week I emailed them letting them know I was disappointed in the lack of respect shown for their customers by not returning calls. I have yet to hear from them. I also informed them my plan to make my floor stay together since I cannot afford to replace something I had for less than 4 months. Duck tape and gorilla wood glue! That's right. I figured out how to install flooring made by Shaw! We pulled it up and as we installed it again we put duck tape under it and glued it together at the seams. The duck tape was to hold it while the glue dried. It has been close to 2 weeks now and it's still stuck together. I think that spells success! When you buy this flooring make sure you buy a big bottle of Gorilla wood glue and a roll of duck tape. You will need it. They should probably include that in the instructions. Maybe include a coupon for these items. Still will never buy their product again. Even though I know the secret to a perfect install! Their lack of customer service now plays a larger role in my decision. Hope this helps anyone in making their flooring selection.

"Coming apart at the seams! Horrible!"
Looked great the first week. Then it started coming apart. I filed a claim through Menards (where I purchased it) and they forwarded it to Shaw Flooring. They suggested I use colored caulk in the cracks. I told them to send me a 5 gallon bucket. And that there suggestion was unacceptable. They sent out a person to see if my floors were level. According to him they were not. The house was built in '86. So yeah, not as level as a brand new home. But I would like to know how many homes have completely level floors. They refuse to do anything at all. I can't afford to replace it myself. So it will be fun to pull it up and re install it and use glue and probably some duck tape to make sure it doesn't happen again. That will be some fun photos to spread around social media! I will be sure to share those photos with them as well. I honestly wish I had read everyone else's reviews first. Lesson learned for when I put new flooring in the rest of my house.

"Very disappointed"
I purchased this product 3 years ago & 6 months into the purchase the cleaning product they required me to use gave me a terrible oily buildup & was leaving horrible footprints on my floor - didn't matter if your shoes were on or you were barefoot - Shaw hasn't stood behind their product - told me to use rubbing alcohol which they do not support... the business I bought it from took it off the shelf after I complained-that says it all!

"Not Wood or anything close to it"
Hovnanian builders uses this cheap product as their laminate floor option. Unfortunately I bought a house with it already installed. It is nothing more than a picture printed of wood glued to cheap fiberboard. The floor clicks and squeaks as well as is buckled in many places. They (Hovnanian) refused to fix it saying all laminate is this way. It is NOT. Pergo (even their cheapest) is more wood like than this cardboard imitation. A section was taken up because of such a severe squeak and the installer forgot to bring the backing so he used brown paper bags and glued the new pieces to it saying "this cheap stuff isn't going to last so why bother with anything fancy." It is a definite Don't Buy!

"Pro floor installer"
I recently installed a 900 square foot oak prefinished floor and had to pick through every piece to make sure all the defects were not used. I had 4 boxes of extra flooring that could not be used due to defects and so many small pieces. I will never install this product ever again. This install took twice as long as it should have taken and cost me money.

Review:
"Poor Quality"
I bought prefinished 3/4" wood flooring in dark cocoa color for a bedroom. The quality was very poor with splits, cracks, and chips of color missing. Total scrap factor was almost 50%. Threw several boxes (scrap) away. Shaw would not stand by the product quality. Do not waste your money on Shaw wood flooring.
