Review:
"Disappointed"
Shopped around and decided to go with Home Depot carpet and install. Installer made appointment quickly and was courteous when he came to measure the rooms. Never mentioned any problems but, when we got the estimate, it said one room could not be carpeted. There was a vinyl tile over an old bakelite flooring. The installer said the tile would have to be removed so the floor would be level as there were a few vinyl tiles missing. I called to see if I could just level the floor but was told the room's floor was not the same height as the hall (1/16" difference). They were also concerned there might be asbestos in the bakelite. Most companies glue the tack strip in an area which might contain asbestos but the HD installer wanted those tiles removed. I was disappointed that there was no discussion of this when the measurements were made. I went to a competitor and had no problem with the tiles or the install.

"Do not purchase!"
Horrible seams! Had 3 different installer teams out to our house over a 6 week period of time, and still it looks bad. Home Depo has agreed and tried to fix the seams but the backing is too thick so we are stuck with $5,600 of carpeting that devalues our home. We had planned on selling it this year...

"Laminate Makrous"
I understand all of you, I also had a bitter experience with this company. But it was a miracle for me to find a company of macro, which helped me choose an excellent carpet. We need to work with sellers who are accelerated and are afraid of losing their client. Here I bought a carpet

"Rude Associate and Confusing System"
They need to teach some of the associate courtesy. Also, they need to inform customers who to call to arrange installation. The system is very messy. Different people call around the same time. Also they seemingly had a duplicate of the order in the system. I got a nasty call about not having paid yet after everything was set. I will never use them again.

"If I could put negative stars I would"
I couldn't wait to get home and write a scathing review of my experience with the so called "free installation" that Home Depot advertises. What a joke. After I wasted months of my time, many trips to the store, lugging samples back and forth, paid $50 for measuring, then they tell me the installers won't rip out the old carpet because it will get their "clothes dirty." Seriously, thats exactly what they said. Who takes out carpet thats spotlessly clean and new? She says they will pull it out for an extra fee and put it "by my garbage can." This is an entire floor of carpeting and padding! They acted like this was all understood, yet this is the first I ever heard from anyone that they would not rip out the old carpet. That is the entire reason I decided to go with Home Depot, you morons! What an incredible waste of my time. Its highly unlikely that I will give Home Depot any of my business ever again. I am furious. The salesperson was rude and totally unhelpful and there seems to be a huge disconnnect between what they say and what they do. Life is too short. I would rather have plywood on my floors than carpet from that ridiculous joke of a retailer. To say I am very unsatisfied is an understatement. Avoid this place and get it done by someone who will follow through. I should have read more reviews before I got this far, maybe I would have realized what a load of crap they are.

"LifeProof Carpet"
I had this LifeProof carpet installed by Home Depot in my family room. The sales person went on and one about how great of a carpet this was for pet owners. Within 30 days the carpet snagged. Within the first 60 days, I have had three snags. My puppies were playing and one of the puppies got their collar stuck on one of the loops on the carpet. I complained several times to Home Depot (even called Corporate) and they refuse to do anything. I would NOT recommend this pet owners. I have two puppies and they are both no more than 10 lbs. If I wasn't home, I hate to think what would could have happened to the puppy stuck to the loop in carpet.

"Free Install? I don't think so"
When Home Depot quotes your "free install" of carpet beware! The waste that's in your quote is enough to carpet an entire room! My quote had over $800 of square footage that was called waste. Not so free when you measure the footage that is actually needed.

"Poor guality, warranty joke"
Had carpet installed Dec.3, We were told to stay away from berber since we had a dog and went with a pattern. Within wks carpet began to unravel in multiple places esp.where it met tile. They did not install a threshold. After multiple complaints on many levels we have received absolutely no satisfactory results. The Warranty is worthless and our biggest mistake was paying in full.

"Incompetent Every Step of the Way"
Ordered carpet and underlay from Home Depot (for 6 rooms) paid for it and booked the install for 3 weeks later. Two days before the install got a phone call that the carpet wasn't ordered and wouldn't be available for two months. Went to home depot and told well nothing we can do- pick another carpet or we will give you a refund. Picked another carpet that we "could live with" then told 4 days later that the carpet missed the shipment and it won't be here in time for when our renter moves in on Dec 15th. Managers now won't return phone calls. Now told well you can choose another carpet called rapid install which is garbage or we can get our money returned. Thanks a lot home depot!

"Carpet"
All this sounds like buyers remorse, not knowing what they wanted, or not knowing what was being purchased?
