"7 month old carpet looks 10 years old"
Purchased Martha Stewart Carpet to carpet my entire main floor, stairs
and all bedrooms and hallway upstairs. Cost a fortune. Here we are 7
months later and the design in the carpet is not even visible anymore.
It looks completely crushed and worn. I don't even want to think about
how it will look in another year. The carpet looks like it's been walked
on for years and years. It's just horrible. I have contacted home depot
and they said Shaw would send someone out to look at it but nobody has
called. It's been over a month. Home depot installers were quick when
installing but at the seam to enter each room we were stepping on the
tackboard and it was stabbing our feet. This also happened on all the
stairs, tackboard was protruding through carpet and poking anyone who
walked on it. Hate this carpet! Want it taken out and replaced but from
what I am seeing, they don't honour their warranty.

"Warranty B.S"
Carpet installed 6 months in low traffic area and is showing wear in
walking areas, matting, and striping. We Bought top of the line with 30
year warranty and claim was denied. Reason! We didn't vacuum it twice a
day and then rake it? We only vacuumed twice a week which I felt was
excessive.

"Martha Stewart Carpet horrible with stains"
Two months ago I had Martha Stewart carpet installed in two rooms, since
then my dog left a feces stain on one of the carpets, no amount of
cleaner will get the stain out. Shaw will not honor the warranty as pet
stains are apparently not covered (many stains are not read the fine
print), Home Depots "satisfaction guarantee" is no guarantee as well, we
notified them under 90 days that we were not satisfied and they said
"abuse" is not covered. The carpet is not wearing well and already the
ends are fraying in higher traffic areas near the door. Let the buyer
beware! This is not quality carpet and quite expensive. I have some 7 year
old berber in my old house that has had plenty of pet stains over the
years and it still looks brand new!

"do not recommend"
This Martha Stewart Living brand of carpet is pretty low quality. We bought a new house and put the color "snail shell" in the two dens which is better than the lighter color "bone folder" in our baby's nursery. The darker color
looks clean, but you can tell where people walk on it as it looks worn
already and it is not even 6 months old. These are not high traffic
areas either!
As for the nursery, I splattered some of my baby's vitamin on the carpet. I cleaned it with resolve (pretty common cleaner right?), which turned the carpet black (nice in a nursery huh?). I called home depot who took about two months to tell me to call the manufacturer. The manufacturer told me to use dish detergent and water, which did not work. The carpet looks really bad and I am going to buy a giant area rug and cover it up.
As for the installation by home depot - terrible!! Staples everywhere, loose ends unraveling and no padding in the closets, which makes for a real attractive slump downward. I will never again have anything installed by home depot, as it is the biggest nightmare ever!!!
About $3500 to basically have a few rooms that look cheap and will need to replace soon - DO NOT WASTE your money! They say 20 year warranty for some nerd to tell you to use dish detergent.

"CARPET PLATINUM"
We had a Martha Stewart Platinum grade carpet installed in our bedroom. It is absolutely terrible!
The pile is flat and looks like it has little holes all over it. It was not a inexpensive carpet and we are very dissatisfied. We would like an responds from Martha Stewart company on there take of this style carpet. I would never recommend this brand to any of my friends.

"Always Looking Clean"
I had my Martha Stewart Living carpet installed by home depot last year. It has been the best carpet I've ever had. It always looks wonderful, the coloring hides dirt so that when it is dirty, you would never know. When I don't have the time to vacuum my carpets still look good. The stain resistance is also wonderful. Stains lift easily, even if they are days old. I've never had a carpet that looked so nice and was so easy to take care of. I love the coloring I chose, and the selection at home depot was great. My carpet goes well with everything. I love having my home look so beautiful and because of the carpet, it always looks clean. The only complaint I can think of is that it was not cheap! But it was so worth it. I have had no problems with it, and hope I never do. I would definitely buy this carpeting again, and in the future, although I hope I will not have to, I would buy this carpeting again.

"not happy at all"
Stains do not lift out. I had better carpet with less problems. Installation was of poor quality (done by Hone Depot) The carpetshould be replaced so I can get something that does not look like 5 years old after only 6 months.I would not buy this Martha Stewart brand ever again. I would never tell anyone else to buy it.Irene 18

"Martha Stuart Living Carpet"
I've owned this carpet for two years now. My husband and I originally put it in our living room when we first build our home. We made a oak wood border around it and it looks really really nice. We have a beautiful white carpet and we love the texture of the carpet. Its really easy to clean and it does not seem to excessively hold dirt in the carpet. Its pretty easy to vacuum the dirt from the carpet and have it looking nice once again. We have shampood the carpet a few times over the years and it is still as brilliant as we first installed it. We are very satisfied with our purchase of this carpet. My kids sit down or lay down on the carpet and find it a nice spot to watch tv or color or play with their toys or dog. We also have a dog and were nervous about pet odors, but its quite easy to clean this carpet. I have never had any problems with this carpet brand. I have never had this carpet professionally cleaned. We like to do it ourselves. We own a machine at home and we usually do it twice a year depending on how dirty it gets. If it needs it sooner, then we would do it then, but otherwise we do not really need to do it more than twice a year. I would definately recommend this brand of carpeting to a friend. I have been extremely satisfied with this carpet brand and I have actually already recommended it to some of my friends. I would definately buy this brand again.
