"Worst locking system won't stay together."
I do not recommend using the Great Lakes flooring material. The locking system is absolutely terrible. If I hadn't already spent $180 on it I would throw it all in the trash and go get Shaw flooring from Lowe's. How can anyone use this stuff and call it a click system? I never once hear this stuff click. Nothing like completing your floor only to find several corners or entire seams that have popped out. Great Lakes should find a new engineer that can design a better system. Oh and I don't know how many pieces were wasted because the U joint just tore away rendering the plank useless. I would not buy nor recommend any Great Lakes flooring from Menard's. And this is Menard's top brand so I can imagine what the cheaper stuff is like.

"Great Lakes Hardwood Flore"
These are the worst floors and have been fighting installing them for many hours and days. I had to cut them in the middle of the room with a hand chisel to semi make them work. I will have stain, sand and putty the gaps and hope it looks ok. Will buy a better product and not Great Lakes next time.

"Worst flooring ever."
If water touches the finish it reacts like wet paper... wrinkles and stain comes off on cloth used to wipe up water.

"Excellent if you're careful"
There are some pretty terrible reviews about this product. At first, I was inclined to agree with them. The fist time I tried installing the flooring, it was pretty clear that it wasn't working when I was about 1/3 of the way done. I took a break, and started over. I noticed that my first row moved on me. That seemed to take care of things pretty well. When I was about 3/4 done, I noticed the same issue that I had the first time (things weren't lining up at all.) I had to go back and find my mistake... sure enough, one plank wasn't put in right. Once I fixed that, I was able to put everything back, then finish within an hour (170 square foot room.)
Seriously, if you're doing it right, you almost don't even need a rubber mallet. It clicks together really nicely. If you have to force anything to fit, stop, go back and find your mistake!

"Great Lakes Flooring"
Popped up immediately won't stay together. They call it floating but it doesn't stay in place. Every thing gets stuck in the grooves and it's junk. Furious. Costs a fortune and should be removed from the shelves. I cannot say how horrible this floor is.

"Ridiculous Buckling!"
I wish I could attach photos, because words cannot describe the insane amount of buckling in this flooring. Installed in winter, 2 months later, by early spring, as the weather warmed up, the flooring has large mountains of buckling on the sides and in the middle of the room. It's a tripping hazard... its cracking between the floorboards and coming apart, and large humps that cannot be repaired. Complete garbage flooring. 100% Dissatisfaction.

"Don't walk run away from this Brand!"
I really do not know where to begin. I bought 800 sq ft of this wood floor to have installed by 2 "Professional" installers. They guys are both contractors who have done over 200 wood floors.
Right from the first box boars were warped. Many were not square. Flimsy locking system that broke with very little pressure. A few board were totally off in color and did not match.
This was a straight shot flooring job that these guys would normally knock off in one full day with good product. After 3 hours they only had 8-10 planks total in and were so frustrated they could not continue and just said this is the worst product they had ever dealt with. And both of them have been doing this over 20 years.
