"Poor design = poor install"
The only thing this flooring has going for it is the color. The poor production equals poor installation. Very disappointed

"Pre-damaged & Pre-finished How Nice!"
Huge mistake buying this crap or anything else for that matter from Menards. Most of the boards were damaged either during packaging or before finishing. The ends do not lock together and constantly squeak when stepped on. Lots of junky looking boards that look like water damaged or have been sitting out in the elements for some time. I can only imagine how long the finish is going to last. The boards do not lay flat or even with each other, just a horrible product with no regard for the customer especially for how much this crap cost.

"Dont buy this product"
We bought the hardwood flooring from Menards and were told the Acacia was one of the hardest woods for flooring. Needless to say, it is terrible! we call the company, Cross Island Flooring Company, and they sent an inspector out and they said it was our fault because we use a spin mop maybe once a month with a half cup of vinegar in the water. They said "the flooring was under stress shock from being wet mopped". It scratches easily and the finish will turn white and peel up if I run my fingernail across it. We do have a dog and they said her nails should have been kept cut. She goes to the groomers every 3 weeks and is not a big dog. There will be scratches on one board and not the one next to it. Hmmmm. We have had 2 different flooring people over to the house to look and both of them have said it has a poor finish and the wood is soft. It has been down for a year now and needed replaced or refinished within the first 3 months. It has a worthless 50 year warranty with it. Dont buy this product!

"Great Lakes Wood Floors 3/8 x 5 Engineering Hardwood"
About 1/3 or so through with my 550 sqft floor over new construction.
Cons
Finding boards that lock together requires a lot of searching making installation of this flooring very frustrating.
Snap locks tend to separate easily.
Groove lip is easily damaged.
Boards are Drop and Lock so have to glue short end
About 10-15% of damaged, warped, or unusable boards, so far.
Worried about future separation due to daily use or movement or weight of furniture.
Pros
I like the look of the wood.
Many different lengths are offered, which has limited cutting
Price paid
I could not recommend this flooring and would not buy it again.

"Snap together wood floors at a reasonable price"
I bet most of the people giving these floors a bad review have very little experience laying floors.
Im a contractor and this floor does require a glue at the butt ends (one bottle of did my clients entire basement), while the sides snap and a tamping kit (rubber mallet, block and strong hands). The reviews are correct in that some pieces dont just snap together easily. It takes some knowledge of putting floors in to understand a correct fit. But once you figure it out it's worth it at $1.50/sqft
The surface is guaranteed for decades and looks fantastic.

"Floors of distinction cambria oak engineered wood floor"
We installed this floor two years ago this month on around 1300 sq feet. Replaced all carpet in living room bedrooms foyer. I have three 20 lb dogs and carpet doesn't work with pets. We love it. Will not scratch unless you try to slide heaving furniture across. I have pads under all furniture so I can slide it easily. No warping expansion or contraction that you notice. We did leave a 1/4 to up to 3/8 in perimeter gap. We have hot humid summers and cold winters. Recommend for anyone with pets kids.

"Order Much More Than Needed - Much Is Unuseable"
1. Inspect every piece out of the box prior to installing. 14% (3 of 21 boxes) could not be used due to cracks, splits, minimal tongue, poor machining, much wider/thinner ends, rough edges (guaranteed splinters), etc. I purchased 20% more than necessary. Some problems will not surface until you are nailing. - prepare to remove some boards as you are nailing.
2. Follow manufacturers directions regarding moisture of flooring and sub-floor. Time in the home is not accurate! Buy a pin type moisture gauge (about $30 on Amazon)! Buy a flooring jack too - Amazon $35.
3. Again - sort and re-sort. Do not install directly from the boxes as this is not high grade product. Should possibly be labeled "Tavern" grade.
