"Don't ever buy!"
I purchased stain master carpet had it made into an area rug instead of wall to wall. During the second week coffee had been spilled in the living room. Tried to get it out had it cleaned doesn't come out. Called about the warranty there is No Warranty if you order the carpeting as a area rug. Would have never purchased if I had known that. Just making others aware do not purchase wall to wall and have it bound. Never ever again I am now buying carpeting for the steps would never consider another purchase of stain master. Terrible carpeting and the customer service is even worse.

"Do not waste your money!"
In November 2019 I had $6,000 worth of Pet Protect carpeting installed in my master bedroom. By March 2020, it was ruined by pets.
After I filed a claim the room partially flooded negating any responsibility, said the unhelpful call center.
When I asked to speak to a manager I was hung up on.
What a waste of money.

"Awful Ugly Smells"
Do not purchase this carpet or matching pet stainmaster padding. This was and is the biggest waste of $5000 dollars. Stains will not come out, yes, carpet has been cleaned by professional carpet cleaners.

"Worst Carpet Ever!"
After a flood requiring all new flooring, we went with Stainmaster because we have 2 (very well-trained) dogs and wanted to upgrade what was originally in the condo. In less than a year, the carpet had irreversible stains, traffic patterns, unseemly seams, and signs of wear! It was professionally cleaned at great expense at 1.5 years. It is a constant source of angst for me as I look at three bedrooms with unsightly stains and obvious crushed fibers from simply walking on it. NEVER will I recommend this carpet to anyone! It should be named "StainMAKER!"

"Horrible!!"
We purchased $8,000 worth of Stainmaster carpet for our apartment and 3 years later, from pet stains and foot traffic, it looks horendous! I'm so disgusted and upset. It says in the warrantee, on the back of your receipt, that it needs to be professionally cleaned every 12 mo (to those of you who said you were never told) but we bought our own rug cleaning machine and it still doesn't work. Had I known this, I would have done it right the first time and ordered wood floors, but being in a coop we're supposed to have 80% carpeted. it's really embarrassing and so depressing that we don't have that kind of money to waste. I'll be on board with that class action law suit if anyone files. we need the money for a new floor!!

"Bad carpeting"
I purchased stainmaster pet protect carpeting and pet protect padding less than 3 years ago from Lowe's. I also had the carpeting installed through Lowe's. It is now just shy of three years and my carpeting is buckling down the center of my living room, and fibers keep coming out. I contacted Lowe's ( who of course couldn't help me). They referred me to the installation people, who of course couldn't help me. Unless I had purchased the extended warranty. They then of course passed the buck to stainmaster! Now keep in mind this carpet is supposed to have a 25 year warranty (that's a joke)! So I then contacted stainmaster. So they said they only make and guarantee the fibers for stains! They send the fibers to another manufacturer to be put onto the backing. They of course can't help me either! So much for the 25 year farce of a warranty. There resolution was I would have to (pay) to have someone come and re-stretch my rug. And as far as fibers coming out, that was normal also. Now if I had bald spot (maybe) that would be different. So as always, nobody takes responsibility for their products or services, unless you pay big bucks for expended warranties! I will not purchase, or recommend stainmaster carpeting ever again. Consumers be aware of manufacturer and installation warranties, they are basically useless. Lowe's, their installation people and stainmaster could care less about my issues. They got my money, so too bad for me or you.

"Very disappointed"
Started having stain break through (pet urine) within 1 year after purchase. Cleaned with vinegar and warm water as the warranty recommended. Called Mohawk on three other occasions. They said to get it professionally clean with water base and no detergents. Did that two separate times. After each cleaning, it looked good for about 90 days, then we started all over again. Called company. "Get it professionally clean." Stain comes back. My carpet looks horrible. Our local salesman has been great. He has tried to help. We filed a claim and an inspector came. Conclusion - Not a manufacturer related issue. Recurring spots not a defect. That's a crock!! Warranty brochure reads "All Pet Protection. Only carpet protection and warranty that covers all pets, all accidents, all the time." claim #R-7398027

"Stains Don't Come Out!"
Don't buy StainMaster in the Baltimore area. You will never hear from the area manager if you have a problem and I have been calling my dealer at least once a month for almost a year. This carpet is a piece of crap!

"Excellent for bad stains!"
Carpet has resisted blood, urine, feces, and vomit and looks brand new when cleaned after a year and a half with a special needs pet! It is a cream / white color and I have been amazed at how all pet accidents come right up! Excellent crush resistance also! Highly recommend!
