"Avoid Lowe's, Avoid Stainmaster, Avoid Aggravation."
Me and my two dogs were very happy with Home Depot's pet resistant carpet. I recently purchased a new home and installed lowe's best of show pest resistant carpet by stainmaster. Home Depot's product had a gel like feature so that pet urine did not seek into the fibers. In contrast, Lowe's stainmaster product absorbs any pet urine. I constantly shampoo the rug with a home shampooer, and have it had it professionally cleaned. Neither removed the pet stains. Lowes does not stand behind its product. I used to be a very loyal customer there, and since I've shifted on my business to Home Depot. Avoid Lowe's, avoid stainmaster, and thus avoid aggravation

"Want to Sue Stainmaster"
Even though I clean up cat vomit immediately, the new Stainmaster beige carpet becomes horribly stained, unlike my other older carpet that cleans up easily and looks great. I understand that the warranty is meaningless according to the dealer (Banner Carpet in Santa Monica).

"Bad Product, super bad customer service"
Stainmaster PetProtect carpet installed on 11/6/2017 and well I contacted Lowes on 12/5/2017 and advised them how terrible it looks and what I could do. They contacted Stainmaster and of course Stainmaster said it was the manufacturers problem (Dixie) after lowes inspector sent his report. Dixie also lacks customer survice they speak to customers. I purchased a Stainmaster carpet and they should be the ones to handle the problem. Anyway Stanmaster denied the claim and pushed it to Dixie. Dixie is going to send an inspector on 12/26/17. Of course I am not holding my breath that Dixie is going to claim manufacture defect and it will be pushed back onto Lowes or who knows where. I will never recommend Carpet to anyone not only because of the carpet but most of all because of the poor unprofessional Customer Service. Oh my husband and I went to Lowes and took pictures of the warranty on the back of the carpet and there's no mention of Dixie anywhere and Stainmaster is showing: Lifetime Food and Beverage Stain Resistancy, Soil Resistance, Pet Urine Stain Resistance Warranty, Pet Vomit & Feces Stain Warranty and Anti Static Warranty. Yes all of the above are their Lifetime. Now 25 years on the following: Abrasive Wear Warranty, Texture Retention Warranty, Fade Resistance Warranty. Now Lowes on the carpet I purchased 90 Day Lowe's Satisfaction Replacement Stairs included Transferable Warranty. So I am betting that Dixie is also going to deny my claim too and let Lowes take the hit on this. Never will I ever recommend STAINMASTER

"Love This Carpet"
I don't understand a lot of the review on here. I've had the carpet for over a year now and it looks amazing. Cleans up pet stains really well. Overall very happy.

"Inista Stainmaster - Do Not Buy"
I had purchased carpeting for which this manufacturer holds the warranty on fiber texture retention. It showed significant signs of wear in under 6 months and I reported issues early. The store representative is in agreement and filed the first warranty claim. Invista sent an inspector and subsequently denied the warranty. I have had an independent inspector evaluate the carpet and his report indicates the fiber is not holding up and the warranty claim is valid. When I provided a copy of the report to Invista, they again sent their inspector out to look at the fibers. They returned a form letter and denied my warranty claim. They claim to have a different result, but will not share that report with me. Not seeing this report from their inspector seems like unethical business behavior. It seems very odd and convenient that their inspector's report was counter to mine and in the favor of Invista.

"Terrible carpet"
I had this carpet installed November 2016 in the entire upstairs level of my house as well as my stairs. I am very disappointed with this carpet and would not recommend it to anyone. The carpet has one good thing about it--and only one--as advertised, it is easy to clean pet stains from this carpet. If that were all I'm looking for in a carpet, I would be satisfied with it, but I expected more. Other than how easily pet stains clean up, this carpet has nothing to recommend it.
The first word that comes to mind when I think of it is cheap. Which is ironic, considering the amount of money I spent. The pile does not hold up and does not look good. It looks like it's been in the house for years instead of less than a year. The lack of quality wasn't apparent in the sample I examined. After the carpet was installed, I actually wondered whether some mistake had been made and I'd been given the wrong one! The color, which seemed OK in the sample, does not look good covering my floors and staircase. A carpet is a big, important investment for me and one I researched for a very long time. It's frustrating to be stuck with such an inferior product as a major purchase.
It's too late for me, but I would advise you to think long and hard before you purchase this carpet. If it were possible to return carpeting for a refund, I would!

"Worst carpet ever and warranty useless."
We purchased our carpet in 2014 from Bob's Carpet Mart in St. Pete, FL.
Within in a year the carpet showed signs of wear and dark spots, had the carpet cleaned and it did not look any better. Filed a claim after just one year which they denied. The carpet is 3 yeats old dingy, traffic patterns, rippling, seams fraying, Looks worse than our 15 year old carpet. Fighting now just to get them to come out and look at it again.

"Toxic VOC's"
The VOC's in our new carpet have made it impossible to use the two bedrooms. I have called Stainmaster and Lowe's neither will help. We need a lawyer to do a class action lawsuit for all of us on this website. Any takers?

"Very disappointed in this carpet!"
The Stainmaster carpet we purchased from Lowes for our master bedroom has been down for about a year and a half. We have two cats who immediately after installation became sick from the chemicals on the carpet. I tried using different carpets cleaners to remove the stains with no success. Finally had the carpet professionally cleaned by a reputable cleaner. The stains did not come completely out. The carpet in the rest of the house is 14 years old and still looks great! But the carpet that is less than two years old looks disgusting! The carpet salesman at Lowes was quite rude to me when I went to purchase the carpet. In hindsight, I realize he was trying NOT to sell it to me. I wish now that I had read these reviews before purchasing this cheap but expensive carpet!

"Do not buy"
We purchased this brand of carpet, said it had a 20 year warranty, well with in 1 year it showed wear, so we had it cleaned, still looks horrible, we have to rake it up even after vacuuming. The company we purchased it from worked with us, to try to get the manufacture to replace it. This is only now 3 years old, and they (Dixie) sent a inspector to look at it. We received a letter saying that the defect is locally caused? Whatever.
Wish we would have waited before spending thousands more to carpet the other rooms. Very disappointed in the product, and the warranty, well
they do not stand behind the product at all.
